He is lazy!! I always said he was too big to always be whinning and not taking over games. Shaq has 4 rings-- 3 due to a guy named Kobe and the other because a guy named Wade. The only thing that made me smile about the Heat winning last year was because of Mourning and Gary Payton-- they have always worked their butts off and they deserved it!

Can't say I am a Gary Payton fan.

As good as Shaq is, If he would get in good shape and stay in good shape, he would be down right unstoppable.

Monte, that being said, Shaq also was in the NBA finals with the Magic. Don't you think he deserves some credit. That is 3 finals appearances with 3 different teams. How many finals appearances do those teams have without him? How is Miami doing without Shaq? At this point they don't make the playoffs.

Also, don't most championship teams have more than 1 star? Maybe 1 superstar and 1 star? The bulls would have won their share of titles, but do they win as many without pippen? Will the Cavs ever win a title unless Lebron gets some more help?

Personally, I am not taking nothing away from Shaq- I just feel that at 7'1" 330 that he should dominate games EVERY NIGHT. In Orlando Penny Hardaway at the time was the go to guy for that team in the clutch. The refs always give him the calls and he still cries. He has won 4 titles and probably the 5th best big man in the history-- Wilt, Russell, Kareem, etc,... Better. However he is a better teammate now deferring to Wade-- the same stuff he should of been doing all along in LA. Do you want Shaq with the ball down by 1 to take the final shot?-- I really know the logical answer but thats my opinion. We will not even talk about free throw shooting and alot of times he is lazy!

All championship teams needs more than 1 player in the big games--the thing with Jordan in Chicago is that he knew what type of players he needed to win and MOLDED Pippen into a star. Always need that 2nd and 3rd option to be beasts. Who would think Kerr or Paxson would be heros in big games.

Kobe tells LaMar Odem that he is unstoppable but criticizes him because he has no killer instinct-- everyone needs help. I feel sory for Kevin Garnett--plays all out but the wolves wont get him the right supporting cast. That's why I felt good for GP-- plays hard and loves the game and played defense like no other until he got old.

I just dont like Shaq's game but Phil Jackson just talks to get people off their game but he probably does feel Shaq is lazy-- always overweight and not wanting to practice--believable!!

cavs-- Lebron dids a KG and some real healthy 2nd/3rd options-- they should of gave Boozer the money and tried to get some better free agents-- I really dont like Gooden's game either.

Very true. You are about the laziness.

Didn't they actually try to give Boozer more money and void the last year of his contract to pay him more based on his performance and then he bolted?

the Cavs didnt want to give him the max and Utah did. I think Boozer felt betrayed-- greedy!

The Cavs should of went after GJ in a trade deal! they have the potential to win it with one more guy!

It appeared early in his career he was hungry and hustled but I would agree with Jackson's comment.

I think KG is an absolute beast, and your right MN will never get him the cast he needs and he should demand a trade just like AI did. I hate that players can do things like that but that is how it is anymore, if KG wanted to win he could leave MN, wouldnt he look awesome in Wine and Gold? The Cavs could give them Z and Gooden and a couple picks,,,wont ever happen though...

That is not how it went down!

On a rookie contract, the Cavs had Boozer as a restricted free agent and were going to offer him the max as a restricted free agent. Boozer didn't want that. So the Cavs offered to release him from his contract, thereby making him an unrestricted free agent and able to sign for more money. Boozer stabbed them in the back and signed with the Jazz. The Cavs were stupid for letting him out of his contract even though he gave his word he wouldn't sign with anyone else....but it was Boozer who did the betraying.

Mtown,
I was calling Boozer greedy and agree with you. I am talking mainly about the option year-- Cleveland should of signed him then and not waited to see the market value-- get him why you can. You never let players who you know you want to keep agree to deals with handshakes-- sign him!!! i really disliked Boozer for that he felt betrayed but i am with you that he is a p***y for that!!The cavs almost did the same thing with Lebron this past summer-- he almost signed with Jay-Z and the Nets!
No loyalty in pro sports these days!!!!!!
