They never should have been charged in the first place. I suggest the women being charged with libel/slander, etc..

And the D.A. did all this just to get re-elected. His ass should be impeached IMMEDIATELY. He's a moron.

Read on another site that freshman applications are down 20% at Duke. Bet alumni contributions are taking a significant hit as well.

The NC state bar association needs to take a long look at Nilfong's conduct. Nilfong should be disbarred for what he has done to these three young men, when it was clearly obvious there were gaping holes in the accuser's story, and no DNA evidence to back up her claims.

The accuser, Nilfong, the city of Durham, Duke University, need to be held accountable. Here's hoping the attorneys for these young men go after them with lawsuits up the wazoo. I know if my child were one of these kids, I'd be out for blood.

I totally agree DPDad. I don't get how Duke still hasn't made a decision yet if these players should be admitted back to school to finish their degrees.

A national news report says an investigation in the DA's conduct is inevitable. I couldn't believe it when I heard he hadn't even interviewed the accuser until this week.

now, after all of this if these kids from duke came out and said that they were "scarred for life" i might believe it. but the girl from the rutgers bball team caiming that, no way! if that is enough to scar you for life, you have no chance in the real world. sorry, off topic.

Anyone watch 60 Minutes tonight?

The accuser picked one of the players out saying it looked just like one of her attackers without the mustache. The guy had pictures from the day before and day after the incident and guess what....no mustache. Another had cellphone calls and was on an atm camera taking money out of the bank when the incident was supposed to have occured. Nifong told them he didn't want to hear any of their false claims.

One of the players went on to say that the accuser has a long history of mental problems and that he wouldn't want to see her taken away from her kids and put in jail. I have to wonder if a women like this should be raising her kids in the first place.

The players also pointed out that Nifong never even issued an apology until just recently after they were cleared. I really hope they go after this guy.

"But all I'm hearing is 'Oops, our DA was too aggressive. Sorry.' That's not exactly justice. The cable networks loved this story last year because every day there was a new development. It had 'legs.' So I'd like to see the story covered the same way from this point on. Follow these three young men and report on the moment the shadow of slander is finally gone.Talk about legs. They'll be following them the rest of their lives."

Good article. The DA was more than aggressive. Despite the evidence he was vindictive and determined to etch out his national 15 minutes of fame.
