Their fans have continued to support the team despite some tough times over the past decade.
"I'm not sure about Plan B," Lemieux said. "Plan B, in my opinion, is going to use taxpayers' money. I've never heard of a government turning down $290 million in private money to build a public facility. It's unheard of. At this point, frankly, I'm really not sure of what's going to come of it."
That too was my initial reaction when reading the article. I'm surprised they turned it down. Winnipeg wants a franchise badly.

If they leave, will the NHL allow Massillon Cable to let us see Blue Jacket games?

I would suppose so.

Aren't the Blue Jackets on FSN in Massillon?
I know they show the games on FSN on Time Warner in Akron.

They have been shown from time to time but typically Massillon Cable has not aired them because the Penguins are considered our "home market." Doesn't make a lot of sense but that's how they've looked at it.

But of course, you can always catch the BlueJackets on WTIG. They are your 250 watt blowtorch and your Stark County home of Columbus hockey (along with Columbus Arena Football, Cincinnati Reds baseball and Cincinnati Bengals football). :jestera:

Wow...yeah I can see that, considering I've never seen a Penguins game on TV in my life.
