In my mind the legacy of this team is the fact that the offensive line could not pass block,(specifically our tackles), at all and almost killed our QB. This team could have gone much farther with tackles that could actually block somebody. I will say that many players on this team had great heart and desire and that is why we went as far as we did, despite of our short comings. Slider, out!!!

slider63,

The future looks bright for the 2007 Tigers. Look for them to be an even better team on all three phases of the game next season.

Justin Turner is going to be the key asset for the Tigers regarding the running game. Also, keep in mind that he could also see time at wide receiver and did catch two long touchdowns from Tim Adkins as a freshman against both Central Catholic and Cleveland St. Ignatius.

Massillon will have the best running attack in Stark County. With a combination of Turner and Herring (speed) and Thornton (power), Massillon will be racking up a lot of yardage in that category.

Let me give you some numbers on a player without mentioning his name. 3 starts, 40 tackles or assists, 2 interseptions, 2 blocked punts, one for a touchdown. Not to bad in my eyes.

Yes, that looks even better when you realize that he is a DB who was behind a certain all ohio player

Keno,

I feel as if our Tigers are going to be more young and inexperienced than "better in all three phases of the game" next season. We have SOME key guys back but at this point I'm not buying my state championship tickets yet! I hope these Tigers can prove me wrong. This may be a rebuilding year in Tigertown...I'm sort of excited to see how well we do. The schedule isn't quite as difficult next season, and the youngsters are certainly going to be pushing the upper classmen for playing time. From what I hear, the younger kids are working MUCH harder than the older kids - if that keeps up, I wouldn't be surprised to see Coach Stacy start the younger kids. After all, if it's a close battle for a position, the younger kid will win the job most of the time, because he'll be back next season.

You feel me?

Go Tigers!!!!

MassFan3,

Massillon's running attack will be a major asset to their success in 2007. The players on this year's team who will be juniors know how to win and their 7-1-1 record as freshmen in 2005 will point to that!

Also, let's not forget the freshmen had their biggest win when they overcame an 18-6 deficit to upend Cleveland St. Ignatius (stopped the Wildcats FOUR times inside the five yard line....20 downs...0 points)!

The juniors on this year's team will be the ones carrying the load. And credit freshman head coach Tim Menches (the heart and soul of the freshman team) for the job he did with the charges two years ago!
