Only 10 more days until Keno stops saying "The Steelers are still World Champions".

They aren't going to the playoffs, they'll be watching with all of us Browns fans.

And I've been reminding him of that for many weeks now.

MTown,

Till then, the Pittsburgh Steelers are still WORLD CHAMPIONS!

Super Bowl IX, Super Bowl X, Super Bowl XIII, Super Bowl XIV, Super Bowl XL!!!!!!

For all my Pittsburgh hotties who came and graduated from Mount Union...entrenched in black is their hearts and souls but their passion is always entrenched in gold.

GO STEELERS!!!!! (1974, 1975, 1978, 1979, 2006 WORLD CHAMPIONS)!

Now go finish watching Bill Cowher and his team give thanks for a job well done.........

longtimefirsttime,

Still the world champions they are. I might as well do this because you're counting down what might be a bittersweet day in my life.........

For Tina...whose strictness in her faith and love for the Steelers has made her the person she is today. A true lady of St. Mary's who has never smoked, drank, or cussed.........

For Dana...whose 21st birthday hug she gave me in my intro to journalism class was a real heart-toucher along with her black and gold passion......

For sisters Emily and Lauren B....two ladies strong in Pittsburgh persistence and a strong Christian will.........

For Kristen and Melanie...two Italian ladies whose heart-melting presence has touched me and my world champion ways greatly.........

For 'J' girls Jillian, Jacey, and Jessica...who became entrenched in Steelers passion and now know about that championship tradition......also for Jill, who is also entrenched in Steeler dominance...

For the three Lindsays and one Lindsey...whose pride for the Steelers gave Browns fans the dizzies......

For Kathryn, Stacy, Sally, Courtney, Emily K., Stephanie, and Angela...in Pittsburgh Steelers world champions they all trust......

For Randi...who I met two years ago in Dennis Miller's hometown on my first job (MP rules forbid talking about it)......whose power and perseverance is entrenched in black but has a gold opening for the Steelers...5x world champions.

For Lauren C., (no relation to Tim Couch), a real definition of being a Pittsburgh Steelers fan......

Longtimefirsttime,

You're making this man cry :sad2: . But I got to hold it out as long as I can because the Pittsburgh Steelers are still Super Bowl champions. Now stop it, you're breaking me into tears  .

longtimefirsttime,

All good things must come to an end and for the Pittsburgh Steelers, that means their world championship reign. But let me give you some of my soundbytes during their playoff run...starting with Cincinnati:

Cincinnati (AFC wild card game): "This isn't like the Pittsburgh Steelers to be down 10-0 in the first quarter."

"YEEEAAAAHHHH! Right there! That's the dagger in their heart! That's the way to come up big!" (on Cedrick Wilson's TD catch from Ben Roethlisberger in the third quarter)

"Bring on Indianapolis. Next challenge ahead." (after beating the Bengals)

Indianapolis (AFC divisional playoff): "21-3 Steelers! The Colts have no heart. They're going to give it all up!" (On Jerome Bettis one-yard TD run in the third quarter)

"Oh no, what in Dennis Miller's name just happened." (on Bettis fumble inside the 1 that could have sealed the Steelers win)

"HA! HA! HA! Vanderjerk jerked the kick! Ha! Ha! HA! The Steelers come through again and they just hit their peak!"

Denver (AFC championship): "24-3 Steelers at the half! This is so much better than last year against the Patriots! But they have to stay focused!" (on Roethlisberger's touchdown to Hines Ward before halftime)

"He's not in, he's not in...gosh darn it! The Broncos score!" (me on Mike Anderson's one-yard touchdown to pull the Broncos to 27-17)

"It's about time! AFC champions! Super Bowl XL!! No one thought the black and gold could do it! Believe in the hometown of Dennis Miller, how he was raised, and his hometown team!!!! YEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!! WOO-HOO!!!

Seattle (Super Bowl XL): WORLD CHAMPIONS! WORLD CHAMPIONS!! FIVE SUPER BOWL TITLES! FOR DENNIS MILLER'S HOMETOWN!!!!!! IT'S GREAT TO BE A PITTSBURGH STEELERS FAN!!!!!!!!!!

Had to add my soundbytes from their run since it's about to end.........

2:30 p.m.: I tuned the television to Channel 5 for the big game after putting on my all-black Steelers gear. I am dressed in all-black all the way down.

2:45 p.m.: I put up the decorations of Steelers regalia in the living room while watching the pregame show. They include pictures of players, Steelers fans, and many Dennis Miller pictures including disses about the Seattle Seahawks.

4:30 p.m.: The whole room is decorated. I call all of my Steelers friends to get them ready for the big game. "Two hours to the big game...it's Bill Gates hometown against Dennis Miller's hometown. Super Bowl XL...world championship game...got to get that fifth title."

6:00-6:30: Super Bowl XL pregame festivities and national anthem. The food for the big game is finished and set.

6:30 p.m.: My voice is at it's highest as the Steelers take the field (Jerome Bettis first) Super Bowl XL is underway!!!!!!!!

On Seattle's first score (a FG): "Seattle has set the tone. Pittsburgh has to set the bigger tone."

On Pittsburgh's first score (a Roethlisberger dive): "Yes! All right Steelers! Now we're starting to play some Steelers football now!"

On Willie Parker's 75-yard TD run: "Yes! TOUCHDOWWWWWNNNN STEELERS!!!! 14-3!!!!! Keep fighting and keep believing! YES!!!!

On Jerramy Stevens 16-yard touchdown catch: "Gosh darn it. They're right back in it."

On Hines Ward's touchdown catch: "That's it! That's it! That's genius right there!!!! 21-10 with 6:45 left! Keep attacking and defense get tough like animals now!

After the game: WOOOOOOOOOO HHHHHHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIVE WORLD TITLES!!!!! 1974, 1975, 1978, 1979, 2005!!!!!!!!!!!! THE STEELERS ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I'm crying tears at this point). COWHER IS THE MAN AND WORLD CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE STEELERS ARE THE BEST, DENNIS MILLER'S HOMETOWN OF PITTSBURGH, PA IS #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
