What Massillon Tiger decorations do you have in your house/yard or car??

I have a black mailbox with orange numbers. On it's pole is a house number sign orange and black with 2 Obies.

My laundry room is orange with a white border separated from the orange with a black stripe. TIGERS is spelled out in orange in all the corners and I have Obies, leaping Tigers and M's(with a Tiger) in the border also.

I know many of our posters are creative. What Massillon decorations do you have at your house??

For the car I have magnetic Obies and Massillon Tiger bumper stickers. These are especially fun to have when traveling to away games.

We have an Obie plaque on our house. A sign in our window depicting what Massillon Tiger ___________ lives here. A sign in the rear window of the car. My son's room has black walls with a reflective orange ceiling with Tiger Paws going up one side of the wall, an orange door, an orange entrance rug that says "beware" in black, a black shelf that holds his hotwheels collectibles of all orange and black vehicles only, Tiger fur pillows that I made, an orange bedspread and a white and black checkered floor, with a big old antique silk Tiger flag on one wall and a poster from Go Tigers on the other LOL !

I had a Masillon Tiger flag at my old house and it was stollen on the day of the Mckinley game in the late 90's.( I have always wondered if a Massillon or MCK fan took it) I have a wooden Obie in my garage and a orange and black street sign I got at a garage sale that says MASSILLON TIGERS DRIVE.

I have had outdoor items, but they disappear. We're slowing accumulating items for the interior. Howard's selection is getting better all the time. I think a Tiger wall clock is next.

In the family room we've got a helmet and plaque from the 2005 season on the mantle, as well as an orange and black themed aquarium (orange and black rocks, plants, fish, etc). There's also a Massillon Tiger lamp in the living room.

In our den we have a jersey and some pictures from when my wife and I were in the band. Last night my grandpa gave me some old Tiger posters from the 1940's that I'm going to have framed.

Last fall we planted black tulips and orange lilies around the yard. They all came up this spring, and a few are still in bloom. Although we live in Jackson, we have some Tigers on our street that got a kick out of it.

I DID put my foot down on the flower arrangements around the house this year. I told my wife that I didn't want any purple flowers in my yard. More tiger lillies were a good idea.

I live in Jackson too, and when we moved in several neighbors stopped by to complement us on out Masilon Tiger mailbox sign.
There may be more Massillon fans in Jackson than Jackson fans!!

it's hard to put things on the outside of the house because as many of you have seen, they don't always last too long. i had a beautiful flag that was stolen right off my house the night before the perry game at fawcett a few years back. however i still have a few antique flags from the 40's and 50's that were originally my grandparents. i have been able to accumulate a jersey collection over the years also, with jerseys from the 50's, the "BEAT NILES" orange one from '64, a home one from '65 and some from the '90's. i also have some of the baseball jerseys we wore when i played on display with the football ones.
you can never get enough massillon items. i am sure that there are many households in town with treasures in them that have been packed away for years.

I have a mini-helmet from the new leaping tiger, obie on black, obie on white, the 100th meeting, and one with an orange M on the front. Along with all my signs around the room; Beat Iggy, Beat McK, Go Tigers, their all just waiting to be put up in a window.

Great thread! I'll guarantee there is no other high school team that has so many fans with rooms dedicated to their team. I've got so much Massillon stuff that I rotate it. Some highlights are a framed poster of the 1940 team...various team photos of great Tiger teams like 1940, 1938, 1959, 1970... programs, ash trays, banners...There are so many Massillon Tiger mementos out there to be found!

Though I've lived in Florida for 21 years,

* My logon for the computers at work is "GoTigers!"

* During football season at my workplace, the screensavers say, "Massillon Beat McKinley!" or whatever team we are playing that week.

* There is an Obie-Massillon, Ohio sticker on the rear window of my pickup truck. It's THE only sticker of any kind that has EVER been on any of my vehicles.

* Though I don't have a "Massillon Tiger Room" in my house as do many Tiger fans, I do have several Massillon Tiger Football items in my home home office, including a Tiger helmet plaque given to me by a dear Massillong friend, several photos of Massillon football related scenes (provided by other fine Tiger fans), and a bunch of other stuff here and there.

* I have three Tiger DVDs from different seasons, and I'm prone to "initiate" my Florida friends by nagging them to view these movies. (It's my way of spreading the Massillon gospel.)

* For several years I had a Florida "Massillon Tigers Football Booster Club." At its peak it had 19 members. Many of them used to come to the club meetings, which were on game nights, and we'd sit around listening to the WTIG webcast of the Massillon game and read the comments submitted on the MassillonProud Chat Room as the game progressed. However, when the webcasts ceased, the fun sort of disappeared, and there came a day when nobody came to the meetings.

When I left Massillon in 1985, I was flat broke, and I gave away my heaping stash of Massillon stuff to various Tiger friends. It seemed the proper thing to do at the time, as I had no idea where my wife and I would land, or how we would survive. I didn't want those fine items lost.

My present collection of Massillon memorabilia is not much, especially considering my feelings about Massillon and its football team. But anyone entering my home office knows one thing for sure: This guy is one of those nut-fans of the famous Massillon Tigers. (Grin.)

I live in Westlake and the week of the Ignatius game I hang my Massillon City of Champions flag across the pillers on the front porch. I then leave hanging through the end of Basketball. I also have my Tigers hat hanging in the entrance way to be seen by all. The lower level Family room is shared with my wife and consists of Massillon, Stuebenville, the Browns and Steelers (BOO HISS). Its a wonder how we co exist!

Have any of you seen the house on 11th St. NE next door to Pat Stanton's home? Black and white house, orange door, orange flowers just to name a few items!

We too had a flag stolen from our old house during McKinley week.

Haven't gotten another one since.

In my office at the Stearn Center, I have a Tiger figurine on top of my radio. I also have an Obie key chain, or is it a Tiger in a football uniform. They could have done a better job with it. Hanging on the walls I have one of those orange serious Tiger fan sign, last year's schedule, a printout of all the games Massillon played (I got that from here:thumbsup: ), and I have a picture of the score of the McK. playoff game that I took. I did have more, but what I do have is enough to get them dawgs ryaled (if some one knows how to spell that, feel free to help out) up. Time to update my stock. :tig: :ers:

Have any of you seen the house on 11th St. NE ....

You might know Larry, the day-shift bartender at The Alibi? He also lives on 11th NE.... his wife is my cousin. I haven't been over there in quite awhile.

I know who he is as he is a long time friend of mine who has sat with me and others in Section 13 for about 20 years now. Anyhow, he just had the doors done within the last 3 weeks. And even though I haven't been to his house for a while, he basically has a Massillon Tigers museum in his there. Obviously you have seen the bronze tiger in his front yard.

He is a great guy and a HUGE supporter and the best Tiger fan I know. He is also the one that was partially responsible for the great fireworks after TD's last season (anyone remember Floyd the Barber, etc...).

I live is northern Summit County and on game day the Massillon Tiger flag is flown in the front lawn. In the den, I have stuffed Obie tigers sitting on wodden bleachers from the old Cleveland Browns Stadium, and a large picture of Paul Brown Tiger Stadium mounted on the wall. In the back yard a large wooden Obie hangs from the privacy fence. And on game day, my truck has the Obie flags, an Obie magnet on the tailgate. and of course a tiger tail flying from the rear bumper. And I can't leave out, listening to a Massillon Tiger Swing Band CD on the way down to the game! GO TIGERS!!!
