Included in the two-year state capital appropriations bill is $75,000 for the planning and design of a Paul Brown Museum. The museum is to be built adjacent to Washington High School. It will house Brown memorabilia collected since 1980 and which recently added more than 300 items from Brown’s widow.
The following link is more about the local projects included in the bill than it is the museum. Anyone else have any details?

That is GREAT NEWS!! I really don't see anyone close to PB in being the greatest coach who ever lived.
I had heard his widow donated most of his memoribilila and I can't wait to see it!!

There is some neat stuff that came from Mrs. Brown. Including the coin used for the coin toss before the Herbstreit games this year at PBTS.

Did anyone notice in the link provided by Butler at the start of this thread this item that has been requested from Ohio Capital Funds:
"Pro Football Hall of Fame, $1.65 million to renovate and improve Fawcett Stadium, including building a causeway from the Hall to the stadium. ($2.5 million requested)" :scratchchin:

I think the greatest Junior High coach ever was Butch Hose.

That just might be. I played for Butch Hose at Lorin Andrews 7th,8th, 9th grades. He was really great. I recall one game during my Freshman year in1978 VS Crenshaw (Mckinley). We had a undefeated and unscored upon string of 13 games dating back to our 8th grade season. Crenshaw snapped our unscored upon streak and were beating us 20-6 at the half. I recall Coach Hoses' pep talk during halftime. It was the first time I'd ever seen Coach Hose or any coach with tears in their eyes with soo much passion, He said " It's up to you guys, What are you going to do about it, How do you wanna be remembered of how you all handled this in the future" and so on ETC. He had us soo pumped and fired up, we went out there in the second half and shut Crenshaw down and come from behind to beat them 24-20. Aww, Those were the good ol days.

I did and posted it at cm. com. Some of the improvements include restrooms and pressbox renovations. And appearantly, they plan to build some sort of bridge from the Hall to the Stadium.

While envious, I more than welcome the much needed improvements. They will make it a little more bearable having to go over there and may be influential when deciding on whether to keep the championship games in Stark County. That combined with the HOF and the new PB Museum in Massillon make it all that much more of an attractive site for visiting teams.

I played WR and DB. The members on that team were. Jeff Bushman, Bob Catlin, Greg Radka, Mike Kozma, Bob Yoder, Matt Hickey, Mark Ricker, Kent Sprunger, Goerge Roknich,Doug Geschwind, Mike Geschwind, Tim Manion, Goerge Nikitenko, Dan Ricker, Sean Gleason, brian Schodorf, Doug Gibson. That's all that I can remember for now. The Coaches I remember are, Jarvis, Hose, Ricker, Bledsoe.

I'm looking forward to it. PBTS is one of the best high school stadiums in the country. But everything needs a facelift. I'm looking forward to the improvements.
