Who else is in the kick competition tonight?

Zach Campbell of McKinley, Chas Baiera of Northwest (coached by David Abdul) and John Clark of Perry advanced from the field of fifteen. The finals will be at halftime.

This guy Baiera is pretty good, but Schott is the guy to beat.

Hollywood. Mr Ice in this competition. He pretty much owns it.

Campbell will be in the top five if he has a good night.

Coach Tom Fudo always seems to have his guys from Glen Oak and St Thomas Aquinas tuned up.

I love this game. It won't be long now.

Steve SHOULD win this competition, but Baiera is very good. His brother played WR at Northwest with Stacy. They were a very good combo. Baiera played in the game two years ago.

Schott wins the Kicking Competition by going 1 of 2 at 54 or 52 yds. After McK's Cambell misses 2. It was a good competition, the students of Massillon would yell while McK's kicker was up and McK's students would yell when Steve was up. But with ice water in the veins, Steve brought home the hardware. He also went for the East-West record of 58 and came up just inches below the crossbar. Next year the record will be his.

The good thing, he's only going to be a Jr. He has a bright future ahead of him.

Steve really put on a great show last night. I really thought that it would come down to Schott and Campbell and it did. The Baiera kid nor the Clark kid had the leg strength of Schott and Campbell. It loks like Steve has a "Schott" to not only set the record but be the only 3-4 time winner!!

Way to go Steve!!:no1:

Congradulations to Steve Schott on winning the kicking contest. Steve is going to play a big part in our offense with his great range and accuracy. It really shortens the field for the offense and it is nice as a fan to know that in a tight game ,in the last quarter, that you have this great weapon. Have a great year Steve . GO TIGERS GO TIGERS
