That depends who's our coach at the time, and what our talent pool
consists of.

D1 is definately the better fit this year AND last!

Those are from the AP.
Actually, they are from ]Yappi.com ([Only Registered Users Can See Links.). Not exactly the pinnacle of unbiased evaluation.

I don't think the first AP poll comes out until week 4(?).

That depends who's our coach at the time...

Nordonia-Who??

:ohplease:

... Well, Chuck Shuff was OUR coach when we lost to Nordonia in '75... and Nordonia's coach was a (very) young Terry Forbes.

You can tell that is from Yappi by the heavy Cinci flavor to it.

No doubt about that, Pyro. Nobody but St. Ed's should be preseason number one in my opinion. Oh man Smitty I remember that game like it happened last week. Unbelievable.

True story: that game was the proximate cause of the first time I ever cussed in front of my mother. I was away at school, and talked to her on the phone a couple of days later. I asked her the score of the game. She told me. I said, "Are you sh!tting me?". It was, under the circumstances, a justifiable reaction.

More than justified, wan. I hope you got the soap taste out of your mouth by now. That game was enough to make anybody swear!!!

I thought that poll was from Yappi as I know that the AP doesn,t rate the teams till several weeks after the season starts. In several national polls,St.Eds is the highest ranking Ohio team and not St.X. GO TIGERS

St Ed' seems to be quite a popular vote. But, if you all remember, they were gonna clean our clock last year too !!!!

Well, actually I think last year and this we would be pretty heavy favorites for a D2 title. But you are correct that D2 & D3 teams can, and obviously have, beat us. The prevelant attitude seems to that one D1 title is worth more than 5, 10, 15... D2 titles, according to many fans here. If thats how they feel I respect their opinion, whether I agree or not.

The advantage of DII is: No team that is a power in DIII, DIV, DV, or DVI can play up to DII. If you move up, you must go all the way to DI.

Will teams that claim to be able to play with the "BIG BOYS", that play DIII, want to jump up to the plate???

Let's see what Cleveland Benedictine and Mentor Lake Catholic do!!!
