Sounds like typical Yappi: a mix of rumor, fact, speculation, and analysis. The trick, of course, is figuring out which is which.

True, as is often the case. It will be interesting to see how everything ends up. An interesting quote in a recent Warren newspaper article:
"“Other than winning a state championship, which I know is the thing people expect here, we came close. We provided people with winning football. We competed against the best in Ohio. As far as public schools go, only Massillon and Harding can say that. I’m proud of what we’ve done and the games we’ve won. We’ve lost to really good people.”

See how the rumors and speculation spreads?

Someone say Stacy wouldnt leave us for Eds

I doubt Stacey would leave us to go to St. Eds. No point in making a lateral move.
I do however see him going to OSU as a quarterbacks coach.

I would think Coach Stacy would be a "hot commodity" so-to-speak because of his two good years of turning the program back to its winning ways and reinstating some hard nosed football and discipline. Obviously, his work with Butchie Washington and Charlie Frye (thanks to the Massillon gameday program for that info:thumbsup: ) would help his case.
I do not go over to Yappi, but followed the link. I did not hear about these rumors. Is there an opening at OSU or something? I also did not hear about the St. Eds offer, but that can't be true can it? Isn't Gibbons staying put? All this madness!!!:furious:
PLEASE tell me he'll stay at least a FEW more years at the very least!!

Gibbons is staying at St. Eds. They apparently have resolved the issue at hand.
Saw this on JJ's as well as heard from a person I know close to the St. Eds program.

How can someone say that leaving Massillon for the Ed's job is a lateral
move? It's a step-down IMHO.

.. i hope Coach Stacey Stays here... we've got a lot of talented kids coming up from the lower levels.. and we could be doin some damage here these next few years..
... the rumor i heard was that if Mr Stacey was going to go anywhere else... it owuld be to OSU to coach the quarterbacks...but who knows what will happen..
..but hopefully he realizes what he's got comin up and he'll stay...
... i guess we'll all be left in suspense for a while

The gab on yappi is what it is...nonsense.
Although there might be some interesting moves in NE Ohio, specifically in Stark and Trumbull counties.

Yes, quite possible.

That web-site is skewed -- severely -- by:
1.) Cincinnati-area fans;
2.) parochial / private fans;
3.) youthful ignorance.
:oops2:
ANYTHING read there has to be taken with skeptical eye.

I was kind of suprised that Rotsky left Maple Heights. I am curious to see where he will go. He built that program up from nothing. They had back to back winless seasons before he came and then went to five consecutive playoff trips. His enthusiasm is incredible. He seems to want to find a bottomed out program and build it up.
They had an article in the PD that said of the 135 kids that played for him, 133 went to college. That is incredible.

MTown,
Word is Rotsky will end up coaching Cleveland Hts High School next season. (but that's still speculation at this point)

PDC-That is the word on the street. Any reason why he would make that change?

longtimefirsttime,
I don't know really. I know Rotsky loves to build programs up. He's not really a game day coach, but he's a great at motivating the kids.
I heard he likes the "potential" of the Cleveland Hts job, but again that's just speculation.

I think Michael Porrini said it best about the posters on Yappi in the form that the fans on that site are mostly radicals! This after an interview I did with the sensational point guard.

That's quite the flattop PDC.
FYI, for the Massillon fans, Rotsky will be at Heights and will be in the papers tomorrow.
