I am asking for help getting this information to help out Chris Beaven. We are hoping that many people with connections will look to one another in our effort to put together a pretty good list for Stark County Football...CAN YOU HELP US OUT?

This list is not a complete list by any means, it is a work in progress, so with the posting of this list we are asking for help in gathering more information, and to do that we need more people to look in at this list and see if more can be added. Last I heard Ryan was at Akron attending classes trying to get his grades together to play ball next year-- got that from his father at the Perry scrimage in August!!!

Minerva used to field some good teams. The 1973 team was very good from what I've heard. Their 1932 team is considered one of the best in Stark County history, outscoring its opponents 332-0.

A good, but dated, source would be the printed Massilon Tiger Media Guides, which ran through, I believe, 1996 or so. I'm surprised the Booster Club website, which says is a replacement for those media guides, did not copy alot of the printed stuff into the records.

Unfortunately, my old media guides are buried in an unknown box in my basement.

I think Bob Glass played for the Tigers from 1935-1937. Mike Mauger also scored 152 points in 1970. Edwin "Dutch" Hill scored 204 points for the Tigers in 1922.

Obviously, alot of the stats you're quoting need to have an asterisk or a "number of games played" due to the playoffs from 1972 on.

On a related, but sad, note, I read in the Columbus Dispatch that Ken Kuhn, former Louisville and OSU star, passed away last Sunday, one day after being part of the tunnel of pride at the Michigan game.
