For you "old-timers", the old Padula's Restaraunt, now known as Obie's Tavern is being torn down. The real question is, "Where will all the crack-hoes go to work now?":hug:

It's a shame, I remember going to Padula's back in the 70's and 80's when it was a very good place to eat.

I'd rather spend a night on Lincoln Way East rather than a strip club. If anything about me, when it comes to ladies...in all respect, I am a clothes-on person (I don't do that bare-all crap). Any and all women must keep their clothes on around a person like me.

Strip clubs have no place in my life :mad: !

But I am glad to hear that and agree Obie's name should in no way be associated with such a place.

If not the name, what about the logo? It boggles the mind that this guy could use it to advertise a place like that. Or maybe he's a BC member. :)

Really? Then why were they able to go for so long without as much as a whisper from Washington High School. I'll be real surprised if anything becomes of it if they re-open with the same name and the same logo. The proof is in the pudding, my friend.

I think OBIE was hotter than the girls that danced there!!

I saw one at the payphone at the gas station, next to OBIE's, one afternoon. Looked just like the streetwalkers you see on the LA/Hollywood documentaries!! NASTY !!!!!!!!

If that is the case, then I hope that the Booster Club will take seriously the responsibility of seeing that OBIE's name or logo is not displayed by any business or person to promote any type of distasteful and inappropriate behavior that has nothing whatsoever to do with the promotion of the Tiger program, stadium, or school.

I was always dismayed when I saw Obie's image being used that way. Especially when my kids first saw it and asked about what that place was:evil:

Does any body remember BIMBOS next to the CONRAD HOTEL before they tore it down. That use to be OBIES.

Thanks i knew i wasn't going crazy just yet. I remember Benders name now. just forgot what is was. Fyrewood can't remember PADULA'S i think i been down here to darn long.

Obie's was respectable , when it was on the strip. Bimbo has always represented himself and his Tiger spirit very well !!!:TIG2:

I agree. Known Bimbo for a while now, and he is ALL Tiger. I believe he played on our last State Championship team. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Kamd50, you have my backing on this one. No way should Obie be defined to represent a strip club. I have seen on the news too many issues regarding such clubs let alone prostitution and all that other crap.

Point being...if any woman wants to bare all, show off, strip down, get nude and lewd along with getting busty-lusty...do it in another club...anywhere but Massillon!

This is coming from a person who strongly detests these kinds of clubs!

I agree. Send them all to Canton where they would fit right in with all the trailers that line the streets. PERFECT MATCH.

There is enough prostitution bad enough as it is! And it's getting no better when it is rampant in Canton!

I don't want to be the bad guy but the prostitution ring is making Canton a "Shame City" and such action has no place for that!

Canton already has a problem containing prostitution. Massillon doesn't need the same problem already (as a matter of fact...Massillon is winning the war against Internet sex predators)!

If them girls just kept their clothes on, I would have been ok with that. Especially if they all came in black and gold or maize and blue!
