Yesterday was the fist day of practice for H.S. football in Alaska.

Yes, I know it isn't Ohio football and these teams could not even compete with the Tigers but hey, it's football and it gets me in the mood...

Don't hate me for being here but it has rained the last two days. The average temp now is around the low to mid 70's......

The hottest it has gotten so far this summer was in the high 80's.......

We should schedule them. Then we can "beat a Deadhorse." :jestera: OK that was lame. Blame it on the heat.

I live is Wasilla. It is about 50 miles north of Anchorage. In Alaska terms: that's around the corner.

If it helps, I can look out my office window, see the mountains and there is still snow on them.....Maybe that will help everyone think cool thoughts..

Funny you say that, I have a friend up in Alaska too. I know it's off topic, but she's in Chugiak and said for you to come say hello sometime. She's from the Columbus area...I think.

It sure is better than discussing Fed membership or moving the state finals.

Are you in the season where you could play the game at 2 in the morning and not need lights or is it normal there now?
