Although there has been alot of talk so far about ticket sales for this week, I've seen nothing official yet. When will we know the process?
In particular, will they hold tickets for season ticket holders until a certain time? I'm sure season ticket holders will gobble up what's there. However, will it be a free-for-all with some season ticket holders getting more than their allotment before other season ticket holders have a chance to even be at the ticket window?

OFFICIAL UNOFFICAIL NEWS:
The way I have heard: Only 1 orange ticket per person. This should take care of a LOT of problems.
Only 1 playoff ticket per season ticket. Perry doesn't have enough seats to accomodate the 2 for 1 deal.
So, it seems as if Massillon's season ticket holders want a ticket, they better get in line. I think Perry holds about 7500 people. That would be 3750 tickets for us. I think we have more season ticket holders than that. Those without a season ticket, could be shut out.

so by that you mean if your orange card says "No. of tickets allowed 8" would actually be 4...and no one person can walk up to the window with 10 cards and buy all the tickets...? it has to be 1 orange ticket per person...ok....have to get the guys together for this one....

In the past it has opened around 8am Tuesday for season ticket holders only

I believe early in the year, the paper ran a story and the ticket office was quoted as saying season ticket sales were up and that we had close to 5000 season ticket holders. Also, Perry does not have to give us half of the stadium. I do not know if the OHSAA has any rules on how many tickets must be given to the away team.

It isnt Perry that controls the tickets it is the OHSAA.

The reduced number of season tix, and the general attendance decline, started a long time before Shep.

The whole problem with the ticket situation is that you have some people in line holding 150 or 200 season tickets and that is because they have all of their friends cards or everyone they work with. I've been a season ticket holder for about 20 years and the way I see it is that it should be one orange card per person that way you don't get these people buying huge blocks at once. The other thing that sucks is if they are reserved they take forever trying to make sure everyone sits together. The orange card should have yor name on it and and you can only buy tickets for one card. I don't think it is fair for people to be able to buy blocks of tickets just because they go to the window with a fistful of them.

It will be "nice" when you're begging your ass off to one of them for a ticket they sat out all night and waited on. Now, about that life thing again?

A few thoughts:
1) Although it is a home game for Perry, it is the OHSAA that runs the show. Perry acts as a sub contractor. We will get half the tickets....just like at North Canton. But remember that half includes the students and band.
2) It will be one card for each person...not multiple. Multiple cards were first allowed to accomodate season ticket holders who had to work or who were unable, due to age or health, to stand in line at night for a 7AM start.
3) To make up for the one card rule, the time will be moved back to 4 PM.

Do we REALLY have to go through this whining EVERY year during the playoffs ????? Some people like to wait in the line. It has become a nice little event, much like the tailgates. Just because you don't have the luxury of being in the all-night line, don't bash the people that do.
PS. No one has EVER had 150 or 200 tickets to buy !! GEEEEESSSHHHH !!!:heee:

Catman, youse can stop hyperventilating.
Here's quote from Al Hennon in latest Inde Article:
According to the Massillon athletic director, every season ticket holder was issued a playoff card at the beginning of the year.
Hennon said each ticket holder will be allowed to buy one ticket for each season ticket that they hold.
He also said season ticket holders must present their orange playoff card to purchase tickets for Saturday’s game. Multiple cards from one individual will not accepted.
Tickets are available for cash only, Hennon added, and no phone orders will be taken.

No DOUBT, Jay. What the hell. Talk about getting a life, just go whenever you feel like it, stand in line and get your ticket. Or, DON'T and just listen to it on the freaking radio. To lambast those that sit out and wait is just plain stupid. Especially when you try to do it with the spelling and grammar of caseybaby-whiner.
