Massillon 10 - McKinley 7
Hats off to the Tigers in getting the job done. The take aways were too much to overcome.
Glad to have met so many people in Massillon today including Die hard Eric and GoTigers1
It's still the best rivalry there is and win or lose, to be a part of it IS the best part of it!
Lets see each other in about two weeks, are you up for that....yeah, I thought so!

Thanks DaveDawg, you have a lot of class.
You're right -- fans on both sides should be proud to be a part of the greatest high school football rivalry in the world.

Cool pics!
Congrats to Massillon on a well played game.
My daughter and a bunch of her friends said there were a ton of Massillon players at the Wendy's at The Strip in Jackson tonight in their jerseys. What's up with that? I would have thought downtown Massillon would be THE place to be tonight after the big win. :heee:
In any case...best of luck to the Tigers next weekend at Perry. It should be a great game- especially with some of the close Perry/Massillon games of the past.
Good luck!

Congrats to the Tigers, I've been reading on here all year about people saying how if it was'nt for turnovers Massillon could have won those games. Not really understanding, cause I had'nt seen it all year with the Bulldogs. Now I have, and now I understand. Not to take anything away from the Tigers. It was a fair game. Getting beat in a rival game always sucks.

Thanks guys. As we have learned ALL year, the scoreboard is all that counts. Believe me, we have felt your pain. Thanks for not being like the schmucks on Y*ppi, and bashing us for a win.
Good luck against Toledo!!

Bulldogs, You have nothing to hang your head over or to be ashamed of. You gave us one heck of a game and fight. Best of luck to you and Morgan Willams in the playoffs. If anything you should walk away from this game feeling proud of yourselves. You played with skill, integrity, and class.

OMG that kid is a beast! I wasnt realy impressed with M. Williams. I think we did a great job of containing him. The only long runs he had was at the end of the 2nd when we were in prevent and they kept calling time outs to run draws.

My thoughts on the game are this: defensive coordinator Steve Kovacs is truly a defensive genius. To hold a powerful Canton McKinley team to 27 points below their average is just a job well done.
And no one played the biggest than senior Antonio Scassa. Of all the people who took on Morgan Williams, NO ONE hit him the hardest all season than Scassa. He played like a monster possessed today and was in the backfield most of the day.
Canton McKinley will put this one behind them. I know the resolve of the Bulldogs and knowing Brian Cross, he's not going to let them linger over this loss. Canton McKinley is a class program and you know they will go out with class and dignity. They will be heard from again.
But back to the Massillon end of things...now comes the battle of Lincoln Way East: Perry Panthers vs. Massillon Tigers.

Tiger fans are pleased to see it go the other way after some games we thought we could have won. It was another classic. Good seeing you again.

That thought just popped into my head last night. He could have gone to a team just coming off the state championship game.
Oh well, we seemed to do just fine against him and his new team the other day.
