After the game, the trip downtown, honking the horn on the car until it died (but oh-so worth the loss!) and taking our daughter over to um-Perry, my husband and I went out to the Winking Lizard for some wings. Still dressed in our Tiger Togs, we were talking to our waitress, who informed us that one of our Tiger players was sitting across the room with a table of people. We didn't ask how she knew it was a Tiger player, but took it for what it was worth. To the credit of the waitress (who by the way IS a Bulldog!), it was one of our players, we recognized him as he and his family were leaving. Well, I couldn't leave well enough alone. I had to follow them out to the lobby, where I stopped him (KJ Herring) and told him how proud we are of him and the team this year. Grant it, maybe he wasn't able to contribute much in today's game, but he is part of this team and they (Tigers) WIN as a team and they LOSE as a team. I shook that young mans hand and I told him "good game". He smiled and thanked me and I could tell it made him feel good. His family was appreciative as well. Nice family. We wish KJ much continued success in his "career" as a Tiger! :2thumbsup:
