MASSILLON The Board of Education on Wednesday adopted a five-year forecast of revenue and expenses that shows a negative balance of $7.8 million in 2011.
District Treasurer Teresa Emmerling described the forecast as a "management tool" to help district officials determine future financial decisions.

She said these forecasts always show a large negative balance in the fifth year because school districts predict conservatively on revenues but more accurately on expenses.

Think how many aides could be placed in the overcrowded elementary classrooms if the administration would spend that money wisely.
