Unfortunately injuries hampered his college playing career. But it appears he's making the best of it (and possibly finding a new calling). TP mentioned this briefly in his Sunday column but this is a more in-depth article.

Read this article the other day. i really feel bad that Devin never got a chance to show what he could do on the field. it is unfortunate to say the least. it is great to see that he is going to remain as a coach and pursue coaching. Good luck to Devin.
Note: Tyler Everett is now in the NFL and if i remember correctly Devin used to make him look pretty silly. Oh what could have been....

Die Hard Eric,
Don't forget that as a 6'3'' 190 lb. junior with a 42-inch vertical jump, Devin Jordan snagged 10 catches and two touchdowns in helping Massillon to a 29-26 heartstopping win over Canton McKinley.
Jordan beat Everett by five yards on the first touchdown that gave Massillon a 7-6 lead.
Too bad Jordan never got to play a single game at OSU, I would have loved to see what he had against Michigan's defense.

Devin is a quality kid that I wish there were more of. I was also looking forward to him prospering at OSU, but injuries happen and can unfortunately, alter your career. I think highly of Devin and wish him well. He's the kind of kid you would want your daughter bringing home.
I'll never forget the games he had against McK and "the catch" against Perry!

Ah, yes, the catch vs Perry. Sweet memory. He did say for people not to feel sorry for him, but it's hard not to think of what a quality career he could have had. Something tells me he will succeed if he coaches or doesn't.
All the best Devin!

That is too bad that he didn't really get a chance because of the injury. Good for him though that he is looking at the positives by being able to help his teammates and preparing to be a coach.
