WOW!!
Did this hit the nail on the head!!
I hate watching all the "fair weather" fans leaving the game during the last minutes of a game when we are losing.
Why do people do that?
Just to get home quicker?
They just end up getting in the aisle over by section 3 and 4 and just stand there waiting for the older fans who are carefully stepping down the stairs.
Not only are they leaving early but blocking the view of all of us still sitting in our seats!
Why can't we all just stay seated until the game is over?
Win or lose-Massillon always!!!

I read that about 5:30 this morning and wanted to stand up and applaud. Quite the article. I was going to paste the link but I thought it would be more appropriate coming from somebody that is local and at all the games. A fine piece of writing, and something that everyone should think about when they venture to the stadium the next two (hopefully more) weeks. Go Tigers.

This is freakin' hilarious AND sad at the same time. How many times I have been disgusted by these so-called "fans". It burns my family to no end when we see (and hear) these fans rant and rave and leave when the team isn't at their best. Many of us even stay until the band brings down the flag and exits the field too. Win or Lose...We LOVE Massillon! I am a "transfer" to Massillon (though my husband is from Massillon), but I guarantee you I am MORE a fan than some of these "born and bred" fans who leave the games early week in and out! Come rain, sleet, snow, hail, or hundreds of miles...we will not miss a game...and we will NEVER leave our boys when they are having an "off" night on the field.

After having the pleasure of sitting beside 91' alum at the Warren game, I can personally vouch that 91' alum is as staunch of a Massillon fan as they come; would put many a Tiger fan on notice. The players need our genuine support; no front-runners or bandwagoneers need apply.

My wife is transplanted from Philadelphia and never heard of Massillon until she moved here ten years ago and she is now a die hard Tiger fan and she gets pissed when she sees all the fans leaving early. She will even stand up and yell at them for leaving. No matter what the weather or where we are playing or no matter what the score is we stay until after the band is done playing. We are quick to notice when our opponents leave early but it doesn't seem to bother the Tiger faithful when our fans leave early.

Yes you are right that some fans do leave early which makes me mad also. But just to clarify that this is not just a Massillon thing when I attended the Perry, Mck game the same thing happened when Mck took over the game.
Everyone should stay till the end to support their team whoever it is!

I know alot of fans left early at the Warren game so they could protect their cars from the Warren fans.
And yet thier were still damage to some of our cars.

Yes, that was a good article in the Independent news about fans leaving the game early.
But I don't blame those who feel the outcome is decided, and need to get up early for work, or for their kids, etc.
I came from Cleveland for the St Ignatious game (as a Massillon alum and fan), and stayed to the end, but it was an hour drive home, after trafic at the stadium.
My son (age 10) and I stayed at the stadium until most of the stands emptied, but there was still some trafic leaving the stadium. He got home at 11:30pm. Not bad for a Friday night, but that would be very late and would not work on a Saturday night before chuch on Sunday...

I will defend some fans that leave early because in the past, I myself had to be at work at 10:00 pm so I had to leave early...not by choice...but by the pieces of paper that comes in the mail that says "pay this amount"
