They should have this photo plastered all over the locker room!

IT'S TIME to start taking your game to the next level fellas!!!!

We all know that this team is capable of more than what we have seen so far... So let's see it Saturday night!

When the fire burned out, the Tiger remained.

The tiger was really a statue honoring Chuck Norris. Therefore it didn't burn.

We probably didn’t even have a pep rally at the school…….

We’re just going to have to "fire up" and cheer (really loud) our Tigers to
V - I - C - T - O - R - Y !!!

Oh, they're fired up alright, don't worry about that:rockin:
We'll see who burns who tomorrow night!

Like burning a fake tiger means anything, pshhhhh. Other than classless disrespect, that is.

Guys and Girls, before we accuse the Raider fans of "classless disrespect" you might first want to think back on how many stuffed Bulldogs have been thrown in our Massillon-McKinley bonfires over the years....I know I've seen plenty. Yes it kinda pisses me off seeing the Tiger on top of their bonfire, but we've been there too.....As they say, those in glass houses......Still though, I hope it fires up our boys like crazy come Saturday night! Somebody better put a picture of it up on the locker room chalk board before the game. LOL GO TIGERS!!!

Someone print it out and give it to Coach Stacy. Its that simple.

Basically what this burning of our Tiger shows is that they are taking this game as serious as we take Week 10! The kids better be ready to play for 48 min. Like Coach Christensen used to tell us in the locker room: "Play 48 min of GATA! For 48 min Get After Their A@@'s" If we do that, and protect the ball, we should be fine!

Go Tigers!!

Other than classless disrespect, that is.

Oh please, burning a paper mache tiger is not disrespect.....it's HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL!! It "is" respect, because if we didn't respect your program we wouldn't have you as a rival. You mean to tell me you guys never "ever" had a Bon Fire and you never "ever" thru a Bull Dog in it??!? It is fun.....lighten up a little!!

As a matter of fact, playing you guys again has brought life back to our city. For that, we thank you.

The last bon fire I attended was in 1979 before the Harding/Reserve game my senior year. We are pumped, win or lose. I love watching our teams play!!!!

Like it or not....the Massillon Tigers "are" our biggest rivals and we will treat it as such!!!

YOU ARE OUR BULL DOGS!!!

I have remebered a few toy Bulldogs being thrown in the fire through the years. It's been done at colleges across the country. I'm not going to get mad at this. I'll save it for something else (hopefully not the officiating tonight!).

C'mon folk!! It's a symbol of respect. If it wasn't such a big game to Warren, believe me, it wouldn't be done!

It was something we did years ago the Thursday night before the Massillon game every year (including the dastardly clock game.:poke: )

As far as officiating, I believe 4 of the 6 officials are coming from Stark County.

Not to side with the enemy here, but don't we burn a bulldog at the bonfire, drag stuffed bulldogs behind cars, etc...?

It's all the same. It's football, not tiddly winks.

Not really sure how this is classless and disrespectful. Sounds like they are fired up and ready to play.

I agree with others about Massillon doing similiar things to the bulldog.

Even IF Tiger football players got psyched over some bonefire ritual produced at Warren, it wouldn't matter much after the first few seconds of the game.

Once you get on the field and start playing football your mind should be on the game itself as it unfolds.

Warren ALWAYS plays us tough. If we play tough, we'll do just fine. Warren ALWAYS brings their "A" game against Massillon. If we take our "A" game to Warren tonight, we will win the contest.

Keeping mistakes to a minimum and playing football like Massillon Tigers is what it takes to go up to Warren and win. Don't be misled by visions of players getting motivated to win. We will be motivated. But the game is won on the practice field, usually months ahead of week #8. It's the things you learn in practice that takes you onto victory in games.
