At some point this season it would be nice to stop the other team's ballcarrier. We'll see if its this week.

The way we've been playing, it would be hard to stop Obiefan from getting 150 yards on us.

Plus he's got that break away speed.
He's even, he's leavin'!

Herron is the younger brother of former Warren running back/linebacker Dave Herron. He might not be 6'2'', 255 lbs. like Dave, but Dan has the speed to go. He was bottled up last year in a 13-0 loss and also had a punt blocked by Andrew Dailey in the end zone, recovered by Brian Gamble.
P.S. By the way, Dave lost 10 pounds...he's now 245.

Let's not get carried away. Only two guys have put up even 100 yards against Massillon this year.
You might also note that Herron has failed to reach 100 yards in at least 3 games this year. Good? Yeah. Unstoppable? NFW.

He was good last year too, but their quarterback was awfull last year....And that was what held them back
If they don't get better quarterback play this year then they won't go anywhere.

Herron ran for about 95 yards on 33 carries Saturday at Ignatius.
The Wildcats bottled him up pretty well with the exception of one big run...it was much bigger, but the referees said he stepped out of bounds...debatable.
Anyway, here's some highlights of that game (Herron only):

I hear they are playing the 3rd string QB, who isnt all that bad. I guess the first two got banged up a bit. When they got healthy they didnt get the job back from #3, I have since heard they quit the team. Again, this is something I heard dont know if its true......

I know we have a few tricks and scemes to combat herron. We should be able to slow him down enough! Our defense is pretty good we just have to control teams from making big plays! Im with chronic we will win this one! The players are hungry now and know that every game is a playoff game!

Sydney Glover was the QB last year but he is playing primarily on defense this year (according to Booster Club).
Their QB looks to be pretty solid, but our concern has got to be the likely 30 carries that Boom will get.

TigerswillbeTigers,
Thom McDaniels had an eight-game winning streak cut against Massillon last year.
Let's not forget that a forceful 47-year-old father of four was responsible for that.
On a side note, McDaniels is a combined 12-1 against Massillon and Canton McKinley (4-0 with three wins coming when Warren Harding High School were ranked #1 in Ohio).

Does that mean that this Saturday's game will be a battle of forces?
The Forceful Tom Stacy against the Forceful Thom McDaniels?

MTown,
Thom McDaniels doesn't lead with force. He leads more with domination. He his about imposing his will on the opposition. Stacy is about using force for the greatest good of the team.
It's the dominating Thom McDaniels vs. the forceful Tom Stacy.
Warren's hordes vs. Massillon's charges.
Raider Country vs. Lincoln Way East.
Call it...THE BATTLE OF MOLLENKOPF!

How does one lead with domination? Educate me.

MTown,
Leading with dominance means imposing your will on the opposition. McDaniels long tenure at Canton McKinley is something he relied on deeply to overpower any other head coach who stepped in front of him. The 56-year-old coach is a proven winner.
A person who leads with dominance has no fear of what is going to happen and they have no fear of what others think about them. McDaniels proved that to me three years ago...I won't touch base but check your PM's here.
The second paragraph above is why I respect McDaniels.

What! Please explain that again! Dominating and forceful have similar meanings keno! McD is one of the best in the state at preperation and that what makes him a good coach! I put him #2 behind Kyle in DI coaching in Ohio! but we will win the game and stop the jinx!

Keno,
Seriously, this makes no sense at all, even with the lame explanation.
I don't think you even understand what certain words mean or the context to which they belong in a sentence.

PDC, don't lump all of us together based on his comments. He's a product of the Canton City Schools.
