It is time to stop of all this BS and play Massillon Tiger Football. If you have blood flowing through your veins and have any clue about Tiger Football, then this game has to get you motivated. Outside of McKinley, these guys are by far our biggest rival. We are on the road, in a great environment for high school football, and in front of opposing fans who would like nothing more than to kick our butts. Add to that, they just knocked off Ignatius. We are fighting for a playoff spot and more importantly, we are fighting to re-establish our identity.
This is the type of game, as a Massillon Tiger, you live for.
It's freakin' Warren.
Let's go.

A week ago I would have said Massillon gets the win here, but now Harding has made a statement with their huge win. This game should be very close, and in those games give the edge to the home team...Hope I am wrong.

well we have all been there before, when we travel we go in 2 scores down. So our tigers need to bring their A game, Old School MASSILLON FOOTBALL. I have not read or heard to much of them this year but their coach seems to bring it aginst us. The win was nice against Akron but empty, our kids made alot of mental mistakes ( taking care of the ball ). It seems our passing game is in a fog, I don't know if we have that tightend drag, or RB drag that IGGY kills us with, but if not we should. It's an easy read for a foggy QB, and it's hard to cover.

I guess when you OWN a team "heads up" by more than 20 games, it is no longer a rivalry!!!

Please add a nice hit to avenge my driver's side mirror and P.A. Horn that were destroyed by the "fans" last time we visited Warren. Not to mention the heartbreak of losing in double OT to them. Let's burst their bubble in their house.

If the Tigers play TIGER football, we WILL win. It probably will be close, but our backs are against the wall, and Tigers are best when cornered. WHOOP 'EM TIGERS!!!

Thorny didn't last... He just didn't understand that if your shoes are muddy, you don't drag them through other people's house.

Well, you know what---I watched them play on TV just a couple weeks ago---was it against Youngstown Ursuline?---and they looked terrible. So they are not exactly an unbeatable team. It's just that our Tigers have to go in there like Coach Stacy says, and take care of business. They need to play with the same kind of hustle, spirit and desire that Brian Gamble seems to have week in and week out. Sometimes I think this team needs a fire lit under them. They certainly have the ability and talent---let's show the world your TIGER SPIRIT!

Keys to this game:
1. Protect the football
2. Play FAST
Do those and we’ll win the game.
This game won't be close, Warren will win by 4 TDs easy.
Warren is 4 TDs better than us? Monte81, start your texting!
Isn’t it interesting how they all jump on the bandwagon up there after a big win. They were lucky to have 500 at Parma last week.

Big Time,
There are five keys that hold the entrance to a Massillon victory. My keys to Massillon victory will be:
1. Overcoming the Warren crowd. That means no false starts or off sides. Warren has an even more hostile fanbase and will try to use that to set up some Massillon penalties.
2. Score first...set the tone. An early score for the Massillon Tigers will quiet the Raiders crowd early. They will need an early score given the electricity of this game.
3. Fast, hard, and physical! Massillon must play the forceful football that Tom Stacy has instilled into them. Defensively, they were all over the field last week. If Massillon can find a way to hold Warren under 24 points, their chances of winning are excellent.
4. Slowing down the Herron machine. Plain as day. Take away the running game and force the black and gold to beat them by throwing the football. Massillon has four fine defensive backs capable of making a play on the ball. If Herron hasn't gone over 100 yards...this may work well in Massillon's favor.
5. Play with a heightened sense of urgency. Massillon's last two trips to Warren ended in heartbreaking losses of 31-27 and 15-12. Massillon must play a mistake-free game to stop the Raiders, who are coached by a coach who also prides himself on mistake-free football, Thom McDaniels.
My five keys to the Warren-Tigers game.

Let's see....
#1) No penalties
#2) Score first
#3) Play physical
#4) Stop the run
#5) Play with a sense of urgency
Wouldn't that be the game plan for ANY team playing on the road? Do you have anything specific to Warren?

MTown,
Don't forget that Massillon has a defensive genius on the team who knows McDaniels inside and out.........

I thought the only defensive genius you knew was Silverthorn?

Mike Silverthorn isn't the only defensive mastermind there is out there...there also is Steve Kovacs.
But if I were a head football coach, Silverthorn would be my assistant head coach/defensive coordinator.
