That article listed the median home price for Canton at $148,333. I bought my home in Jackson for less than that.
Also, from looking at the Cutler GMAC site which lists almost every home for sale in Stark County, most of the homes for sale in Canton were less than $148,000.

Not sure how big your house is, but the median prices are based on the following. Sounds about right.
