WOw...what a performance by the Raider D....Iggy's had only TWO first downs in the entire second half - one with only two mins to play or so. The Raiders made Iggy's look EASY to beat (of course - they are not!) BIG game this week!

Let's hope for our best effort of the season, and a bigtime letdown from Warren after an emotional win over Ignatius.

you know it isn't too often over the last few years that IGGY has gone undefeated......
Coach Kyle seems to pick a game or two every year when his team plays without much fire.....And then after they lose Kyle wakes them up and the team regains focus for the playoff run.......
Perhaps Iggy got a little complacent after they beat us...........A little humility can wake a team up

If it wasn't for the 3 - 15 yard penalties back to back, Iggy would have been shut out......
That was definatly a team effort that I have'nt seen yet this year. That was a great unexpected pleasure to see them dominate like they did.
It just goes to show that anything can happen on any given night. Never underestimate the other team and think it will be a cake walk. :cool2:

"When?" If WGH plays the way they did against Iggy, Massillon will be lucky to score. Anything can happen, but the Tigers have their work cut out for them.

And if you play like you did against Glenville, you'll be crying in your shirt by halftime. I will admit that the 14 points you put up on Ursuline last week is impressive, though.
Geez. Win one game and you think you're all that.
Looks like a long week as all the Warren frontrunners and bandwagon jumpers come out.

You must have me confused with somebody else. I'm known ALL over the internet as a WGH fan. I haven't missed a game since I was 14 years old, and I just turned 23 yesterday. I've supported this team through thick & thin, through the good & the bad. I'm not a regular on MP because I'm not a Massillon fan (I stop by from time to time though because I have the utmost respect for their program). You won't find a bigger supporter of WGH anywhere, and you can take that to the bank!
FWIW, I don't make posts like this too often because I don't want to "brag," but I'm on nobody's "bandwagon."

ObieWan - Worm02 is not a frontrunner. He is one of WGH's biggest boosters. That said, one game a season does not make.
It should be an interesting game to see which Warren team and which Massillon team show up!

I probably won't be crying, but nice try though. While we're talking about week 2 (yes, week TWO), if Massillon plays like they did against Moeller, well you know the rest. Nevertheless, I know that Coach Stacy, who has done a fine job in his short tenure in Tiger Town, will have his troops ready for action, so believe me whgen I tell you that nobody is taking Massillon lightly.

Considering Central Cath. put 20 on the board vs. Ursuline and beat them I wouldnt Warren give them too much credit for that win.
Beat Warren!

Well, from what I saw in the Plain Dealer, Meletti was OUT for just about the entire game---injured his toe in the first quarter. And what was that team without him? He single-handedly destroyed us. Not only that, but supposedly Warren was playing with their third-string QB. The first two got injured during their game with Glenville. They put the 3rd string in, the first two got ticked off, and quit the team this week! We have GOT to beat Warren this week! I hope the Tigers get it together mentally this week and behave like TIGERS again! You are a GREAT team; now let's show us the team that beat Chandler!

I remember another young underclassman brought in because of injuries....
Can anyone say: MARIO
I guess only time will tell what our young third-stringer will do...

A QB from last season is a receiver this season. He is more than capable of playing if needed. I'm more concerned about how the Tigers are going to stop Herron.

I'll tell you exactly how we're going to stop him. The same way you stop ANY high-potent offense. You play grind-it-out smash-mouth football and keep their dang offense off the field. He can't run wild if he's standing on the sidelines.

I gotta admit, never mind all the excuses, it really cheeses me off Warren can knock Iggy off and we choke every time, except once and that was lucky. I dont like McDaniels & would never want him hear but... it just fries me.

Merletti being injured was NOT the reason Harding won the game. Ignatius flat out stunk up Byers Field and the Raiders dominated the game.
The better team won, period.
Now after seeing both teams play, I think this will be a close game. (too close to even make a prediction)

You might not like Mcd but he can flat out coach and gets max effort from his players!! One of the top 5 coaches in Ohio for over 15-20 years and has won a few chapionships!! believe if he would of been able to get out of the Warren contract he might be in tigertown!! Stacy has the job and we have to get over the "big game" losses whether its a player or coach problem-- I think its all about the mentality of the program over the years and the private school talk(we cant beat universities)-- the players hear/read it also!!!
