LONGTIMEFIRSTTIME,

AS I WAS SAYING BEFORE SOMEONE SPILLED COFFEE ON THE SERVER AT THE WEB HOST, THAT FOR SURE, TENNESSEE TUXEDO IS WAY SMARTER THAN ME, SO I DEFERRED TO MR. WHOOPEE FOR THE HAMILTON HIGH ANALYSIS....

WHILE THE WEBSITE WAS DOWN, MR. WHOOPEE GOT BACK TO ME WITH HIS ANALYSIS OF HAMILTON HIGH: HE SAID THAT HE'S NEVER SEEN THEM PLAY FOOTBALL, BUT HE DID SAY THAT HE WAS RUNNING BLEACHERS AT HORIZON HIGH SCHOOL'S STADIUM ONE SPRING DAY IN '06 AND HAMILTON HAD A TRACK MEET AGAINST HORIZON HIGH IN PARADISE VALLEY AND THAT HORIZON WAS KICKING HAMILTON'S BACKSIDE IN THE DISTANCE EVENTS.

MR WHOOPEE GOT THERE TOO LATE TO SEE THE SPRINT EVENTS BUT HE DID SEE THE 4 X 400 RELAY AT THE END OF THE MEET. MR WHOOPEE SAID THAT HAMILTON'S RELAY TEAM SMOKED HORIZON BY AT LEAST 200m OR MORE AND THAT THE GUYS THAT WERE RUNNING IN THE 4 X 400 RELAY WERE STUDS BUILT LIKE STRONG SAFETIES AND RECEIVERS. MR WHOOPEE HAS NO IDEA IF THOSE GUYS PLAY ON THE FOOTBALL TEAM THIS YEAR. MR. WHOOPEE'S A PRETTY CREDIBLE GUY, SO I BELIEVE HIM ABOUT THAT 4 X 400 RELAY TEAM.

MR WHOOPEE SAID HE'D GO WATCH HAMILTON PLAY AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON BEFORE THEY HEAD TO OHIO AND GIVE YOU A FURTHER ANALYSIS IF YOU WANT?

The Hamilton web site says that classes resume on Monday, July 24. Nothing like getting an early start to practice for the upcoming season. :scratchchin:

I Imagine Their Practice Times Are Sometime After 5:00 Pm When It Cools Down To About 105 Degrees

Hamilton's 4x400 relay team came in 2nd at the Arizona 5A state track finals with a time of 3:20.87. The two starting receivers and the starting tailback are members of that 4x400 team.

Once school starts, the Huskies will be out in the desert heat, right after school lets out (about 2:30pm), preparing for the upcoming season.

DHE,

nah, they practice in the late afternoon...you get used to the heat out here,
(it was 118 today)

I went for a run at about 6 pm, it had cooled off quite a bit by then, after a monsoon storm came through; it cooled off to the low 100's at least.

Just remember...it's a dry heat.

Heck yea we want to hear an analysis from Mr.Whoopee! I am glad you guys are posting on here. Good to get those competitive juices flowing! I don't think that early school start puts them ahead of us at all. Don't we start full contact like Aug.8th?

Anyhow, how did you guys find Massillon Proud so quickly? Did you just do a websearch or what?

Do they have air conditioning in their stadium?

I can't help but laugh and think that chumly is this year's version of dova'playa'05. Remember that knucklehead last year before the torching we gave Dover???

Carl E,

chumly is no dova'playa'05 - I doubt that guy knew who Tennessee Tuxedo was...

I definitely don't think Hamilton is a Dover. Maybe Massillon should treat them like a Nordonia (who?), but a Nordonia who has seen a state championship game a few times in this millineum and won it recently too.:grinning:

There is no way this team will be a "Dover" or "Nordonia". We will need our AAA game.

One good thing that might help us would be if it snows on Sept. 16 (or at least if the temperature plummets to around 60).

Don't get me wrong. i wasn't comparing Hamilton to Dover at all. Believe me. I knew 6 months before that game was played what the outcome was going to be. And you are in no way, shape or form NEARLY as obnoxious as dova'playa'05 was. I was just referring to having someone from another school to banter with months before the game is played to talk smack. That's all. Hopefully you didn't take it the wrong way.

Have fun in the 2006 Herbie challenge with the Arizona kids, I guess we will see you over at Fawcett for the 2007 challenge. I wish I knew who we were going to play in that.
Pittsburgh Central Catholic does owe McKinley a home game from many years ago.

I'm going to guess Chumley will disappear on or around September 16th. We can only hope. What's next, Dudley DoRight and Uncle Sam are going to show up to try to tell us to watch out for North Park, Ontario & DC Woodson?

Carl E,

Thanks...I definintely didn't take it that way...

Over the past few years I've casually observed the posters like that dova guy come here and make fools of themselves 'cause they didn't know how to take it - it was quite entertaining...I like the banter...

I never posted here, but just wanted to casually see what was going on in the real football world during that time...

Anywho...I take this side of life pretty casually (the thread I started in General Forums is the serious stuff that is important to me), and I've always enjoyed coming here to read you and everyone else talk about Tiger Football and other stuff.

So, after YEARS of just "observing" the goings-on of this website, I posted something out of the blue - just a little "snide" remark (as LTFT said it was) about the wrong Chandler high school being referenced from an East Valley Tribune article ("wrong team, wrong colors, wrong mascot") but it was done light heartedly (though I know that posts from unknowns can be taken many different ways without assistance of the non-verbal communication).

All of the sudden, LTFT jumps all over me and I am suddenly somehow associated with Hamilton High or a big fan of Arizona football (and how could anybody take football seriously in this state when we've never had a pro football team)...nowhere in my posts is there the slightest hint of me being associated with any AZ football, let alone a fan of it:deal: Just one observation from chumly's alter ego, Mr Whoopee, about some serious speedsters on a track team:pimp: Mr Whoopee didn't even know about the 4 x 400 relay team finishing 2nd in the State finals - give him credit for a pretty astute one-time observation there:no2: (and pretty darn close on the "strong safety types and receiver type athletes" observations made before prepsportsfan informed us that they were football players)

I hope nobody takes seriously a guy who calls himself chumly with an alter ego of mr whoopee...i was just yankin' a few chains.

Nope, sad to say, I've only been to two high school games in many years: that was to watch a state semi-final game one week and a state final game the next, logging over 7000 air miles and some serious jet-lag to boot,
especially that second trip to the finals when I had to fly a red-eye from Sky Harbor (DEP 11:30 pm MST Friday)and connect to Akron-Canton (ARR 12:30pm EST Saturday) through Philadelphia (it's the only way I could work it at the last minute) -

I'm a seasoned observer and now a new poster - -I wanted to help get this site going again!! You can thank the guy who spilled the coffee on the server for that:wall:

I'm enjoying the ride already!

It was a simple mistake. You could have sent me a PM. You could have phrased it differently. Maybe you meant nothing by it. But Massillon fans are used to getting defensive after constant barrages from outsiders (often in our own state). We can just be adults and move on.

chumly
07-22-2006, 04:50 PM
I not sure why any regular poster on the greatest website in high school football, and possibly all of football, would have to feel the need to be defensive??

Masillon Tiger Football speaks for itself - right?

longtimefirsttime
07-22-2006, 06:33 PM
You would think so. You would think the multiple championships would need no explanation. You would think the tradition and fanbase would speak for themselves. But there are those who choose to ignore the obvious.

(You say you've read this website for many years. Then you know what I mean.)

I believe that chumly, Mr. Whoopee and LTFT have resolved the misunderstanding that took place between them in Massillon Proud B.C.:furious: (Before Crash) and where we are now.:tig:

Didn't the NFL team from St. Louis (the Cardinals), move to Arizona several years ago? (In reference to the remark that Arizona never had a pro football team.)

Also, many decades ago, when I was in the USA Infantry (the old M1 rifle infantry), I had desert training. We often humped it in 110 to 112 degrees, and one day it got up to 118. Was it less torturous because it was "dry" heat? Absolutely not! It was horridly agonizing training by 10 o'clock in the morning, and it never cooled down until maybe six in the evening. Yet, at night it was so cold you curled up in your sleeping bag, tossed on a couple of army blankets, and tried to keep your head covered. Man, it was so cold you could see your breath at night!

So I don't think Ohio's cooler temperature will matter much to those Arizona lads: Hot or cold, they learn to adapt. I'm guessing about their game times, but they likely play most of their games in the evenings, and therefore on very cool nights.

Oddly enough, therefore, you don't want it cold for the game with them, you want it to be record-braking hot! Yes, record-breaking hot; and ungodly humid. High humidity on an 85-degree night is something that they might find discomforting.

Just some food for thought.

in that pole on the old mp before the crash i picked hamilton as the best game of the year. i still think we`ll win by 2 touchdowns or more though. hamilton has no idea what coming to paul brown is like, their fans will be in awe.

Oh yea, the Arizona Cardinals -are they a pro football team? It sure hasn't seemed like it, but I guess they are. Maybe the new stadium with the A/C will help them play better and more than 25,000 fans will show up at a game in Sept.
*
As far as the temp is concerned, Mr Whoopee said (and he knows everything) that we need to forget about the temp. Just forget about it.

From preseason practices to the end of season (playoffs) they can see a temp from the 100's all the way down to the low 50's at night (even with a cold rain now and then in late Nov early Dec). If it's 85 and high humidity at game time or whatever temp it is, it will be that way on both sides of the field.

It's a moot point - trust Mr. Whoopee

***

It was a cool 114 degrees today down from 116 yesterday and 118 the day before

I left some things in my second car I'm not using right now, and I have a feeling that the plastic items in there might have taken on a different shape the last few days when it was around 116 - 118. Things start melting in your car when it's that hot (150 deg+ inside the car)

Hamilton has won 2 state chapionships and 2 runner up finishes in the last five years. i dont think we can take them lightly. Everyone coming to the challange is a credible team in there respective states. Massillon is loaded this year and it is going to take a hellava team to get us this year. gamble, daily, mcguire, etc,... talk to them-- nobody gets treated lightly--period!! The team has a refuse to lose attitude!!! Our defense can run and blast with any team.
