Last night's performance wasn't stellar but the victory was hard earned after a rough two weeks.
Now the players need to get down to buisness. The playoff picture is really coming into focus. Beat Warren and we're in. Effort needs to be supreme this week in practice. With the right plan and tremendous effort we will assure a ourselves of a playoff berth!

I am telling everyone, That our Massillon Tigers will be the most dangerous 7-3 playoff team this season. I remember when St Ignatious made it in one year at 6-4 and won it all. It's never over till the fat lady sings, and I don't hear anyone singing yet, Hell we, are just getting started, by week 11, Our Tigers will be a fine tune machine and will be ready for any rematches to take care of any unfinished business. Stacy will have our Tigers ready to win the ones that count. Does 38-8 to a 21-3 scores remind us all of Stacys' preperation talents for our team. Lets all get pumped and yell like we never have before and get ready for another incredible ride of our lives. HERE WE GO TIGERS, HERE WE GO.:gogogo: :gogogo:

Ahhhh yes.......
Warren is my favorite city to go to.........
Let's travel down memory lane shall we?
1988: Coach Owens' first year - I think we scored 3 straight times and on each play it got called back due to a holding call
2002: Manningham was a pain in the "butt".........Hats off to Coach Shepas though for unveiling the "Winged-T" look to get Hymes on the field. I liked the strategy.
2004: An undermanned Tiger squad played its guts out by losing in overtime. Some people say that game hastened Shepas' exit from Tiger Town....................
2006: What could be in store this week?

Hello again all....
Good luck and everyone have a safe trip to and from RAIDER COUNTRY!! Parking is going to be awful because the new school is being built. They have shuttle busses running this year and of course side streets can be used. We just usually park at the Buena Vista and walk. All the parking spaces at the stadium are reserved and require a paid parking pass. They are building the new school back behind the current. Get here early!!
Thanks for the update Becky

The Tigers will be luck to win 2 of its last three games. They have not played as a team for awhile and people are starting to point fingers and the wheels are falling off slowly for Coach Stacey. He has been frustrated with this group since the start of the season with work ethic and I feel we will be on the outside looking in at the playoffs.

I'm guessing you aren't a "glass is half full" kinda guy.
Nothing gets me pumped for a big game than a nice serving of pessimism.

UnionTiger, The difference btween an opimist and a pessimist is; they are both wrong about an equal number of times, but the optimist has a helluva lot more fun. GO TIGERS beat Warren!!!

When did Warren Harding become the Raiders? I remember them as the Black Panthers. I do recall Warren Harding consolidating with Warren Western Reserve some years back. Did they take on the nickname then?

Well, for me its like this: Put up - or shut up. Put up a W and we can hopefully get on a roll in time for Mckinley and the playoffs. Lose and well, just shut up.

Worm02,
Is the WGH football site up and running now? I haven't seen it in a long time now. Speaking of which...look for a crowd of 13,000 to be at the game Saturday night!

We became the Warren G Harding Raiders 16 years ago. They made Harding the high school and used the Western Reserve mascot and colors. Warren Western Reserve is now a middle school.

It's funny, when my husband attended Warren Harding, they were called the Presidents. By the time I was in the Tiger Swing Band, Warren Harding was called the Black Panthers and now they are the Raiders! And by the way, when I was in the Band, we had the nicest tradition. When we played both Warren and Mansfield, the two bands treated each other to a meal before the games. The kids really got to know each other and it was fun. It's too bad that that somehow got discontinued along the way. Those were nice traditions. But meanwhile, BEAT WARREN!

We love you here but our respect for you is now minimal. Why? I read in that post that you married a WARREN guy. Geesh. Well, one way to get forgiveness. I'm assuming you have him sleeping outside with the dog this week, right?

Are you on drugs this team cant block or tackle . Lineman are too fat and too slow.Paint a cheese-burger on the opponent and then they will hit them

Uncle Bob...That's the kind of positive outlook we want here. Hopefully you have no contact with any of the kids with that crappy attitude. Even if you really believe that, it is best kept to yourself. This site is intended to positively promote and support Massillon sports. Your post does neither.

How about we send Emery Saunders and Brian Gamble over your house Uncle Bob to show you they do know how to tackle!
UnionTiger

MTiger,
2 people don't make a good defense unfortunatly. And I have seen Saunders geting pushed around in some of the games. Gamble is geting tired by the third qrt. because he is on ever special team ,"O", and "D". We have how many guys and we can't get him off the field for someone else to snap for punts. The tackling has been none existant at times and the so called "wait til Coach has a full year to put in his playbook" has someone stole it because we have not been too OPEN MINDED when it comes to play calling.

"No negative threads or posts during the season - The goal of the forums is clearly stated to be "for the promotion of Massillon Sports". Please refrain from openly negative and/or critical comments until after the season. This includes all the groups involved i.e. the team, coaches, event staff, band, cheerleaders etc."
Right from the Forum Rules. I understand you are frustrated and apparently a doom and gloomer, but you must understand that the kids read these forums as well. We are here to support the team. Sorry that this year's version doesn't meet your expectations, but leave the negativity at home and off this site. Around here it is Win or lose, Massillon always.
