I didn't know Coach Stacy & Orel Hershiser were college baseball teammates.
Here's an excerpt from today's Rep article on OSU-Bowling Green game:
...THEY’RE FROM BOWLING GREEN Actor Tim Conway and figure skater Scott Hamilton are graduates. Actor Robert Patrick, who played T-1000 in Terminator 2 Judgment Day. Former major-league pitcher Orel Hershiser went to BGSU at the same time as Massillon Washington High School head coach Tom Stacy. They were teammates on the baseball team. Stark County native Dave Wottle, an 800-meter Olympic champion, is a grad. Fox 8 news reader Wilma Smith is a grad. The first female star of silent films and Massillon resident Lillian Gish is a graduate as is basketball Hall of Famer Nate Thurmond.
