He was the best punter I've ever seen when he played for the Browns. From what I've read about Paul Brown he seemed to think he very well may have been the greatest Massillon Tiger ever.

He sounds a lot like our Paul Warfield in good character and athleticism.

I remember, too, his son Dennis being the Drum Major at Massillon.

What a great story and if anyone would know, it would be Bill Oliver. Thank you for sharing.

My mother graduated with Horace Gillom in 1941. I have her WHS annuals from those days. It is amazing to read about the accomplishments of that team. My mom used to say she had as much to do with the success of that team as anyone...she let Horace copy her geometry homework so he could stay eligible!
