I know Mentor is of course first but I am sick of reading the quote "that team 8 miles west" each and every time that new head coach talks about Massillon. If he cant even use the name Massillon when he talks then he is going to have to be shown a hard lesson next Saturday. I would hope Coach Hall is going to have these quotes, that have been used since Johnson was hired, plastered all over the locker room next week. :furious:
BEAT MENTOR !!!!!

It is the same thing that Woody Hayes did back in the day when he referred to Michigan as "that team up North". Who really cares? We have been called worse.

Your right what was I thinking we should just let them continue to disrespect us and just let it go, maybe the Coach can just start saying " that team that has never won anything "when he speaks of the Tigers. :wall:

The first lesson will be for Mentor. Do not write off the Tigers as Mentor is doing. The read I am getting from Mentor is that they are going to roll over Massillon like they are nothing.

WTF?

If their team believes that, they are in for a rude awakening.

That is what makes this loss hurt even more, the total lack of respect.

What are you his agent?? I dont care what you say it is disrespectful and if Coach Hall would say that you and others would be up in arms that he would do that. Why would any player on either Massillon or Mckinley get caught up in the hype of the game, I mean its only the biggest game they will ever play in.
I think you need to go read Monte's post in the playoff scenario topic because the fans are starting to become soft also, this is 2 now that are actually defending Coach Johnson and his continued disrespect of Massillon.

:furious:By NO way am I trying to defend him!Just pointing something out. Tressel has said that about michigan just refering to your opponent as a faceless opponent just trying to take less pressure off mckinley instead of saying hey this is massillon and making a big deal of it(even though it is)I swear people will find anything to b*tch about.WHO CARES WHAT HE THINKS ANYWAYS

McKinley fans and players always disrespect us! The best way to handle that is to send them back to Canton with a ROYAL A@@ WHOOPING!!! Comments and trash talk always made me meaner and nasty for the game!!!!

I remember "the drive for 5" t-shirts they were selling my senior year in 88. Sonny Spielman gave me one of the shirts so I ripped the t-shirt and our defense all took a piece and tied it to our pants for the game to remember----WE WON!!!!
