Last nights passing scrimmage was a series of 10 plays,a touchdown,or intereception, per possession.

Assuming that it was scored the same as Ashland( 2 pts for a TD and 2 for an INT)

I might have missed some things because I was busy watching the Lineman also.

Massillon 6 Elyria 6 4 possessions each
Massillon got an Int on Elyrias first possession and scored on the 2nd and 3rd

Elyria scored on thier 2nd and 4th and got an INT on Massillons last.

Look for Elyria to make some noise this year. They have good size and great speed at the skill positions. They are very physical as well . Nobody seems to have told them it was touch football. ( I really like the way our guys stayed composed props to coach Stacy, previous teams would have been jawing)
Their linemen were as impressive as their skill. Decent size and good feet. The QB doesnt have a very strong arm but makes good decisions. They will be a playoff participant this year.

Massillon 6 Franklin Hts 4 3 possessions each

Massillon scored on their first 2 possessions and had an Int on FH 3rd
Franklin scored on thier 2nd possession and had a pick on Massillons last.

Franklin has a bunch of quick athletic players but lack size and discipline.
Thier linemen did not attend.

Massillon 4 Hudson 4 2 possessions for Massillon 3 for Hudson

Massillon scored on both.
Hudson on thier first and 3rd.

Hudsons players seemed pretty slow but possessed good size. The QB made good decisions but didnt seem to have a very strong arm.

A few things of note.

Very nice crowd last night for the final 7 on 7 probably 200 to 300 people there.

Bobby obviously hit the weight pile his arm strength is much improved this year. he knocked a reciever down with a pass on an 8 yd slant.lol. His deep balls have much better velocity and travel farther.

Steve Yoder looks like a Sr.....in college. Massillon cooking does a body good apparently...way to go Kevin. Big Strong and athletic not an ounce of fat. The way he flip that tractor tire around was ridiculous. I wonder if they plan on using him on the Oline as well. He didnt work at tight end during the 7 on 7

Laubert really worked hard in the offseason though hardly svelt he is a shadow of his former self. Along with that obviously came improved mobility.

Comeaux looks like a guy that should be fielding calls from Tressel. Huge and very athletic.

Im not sure who won the challenge or who the medalists were but we looked pretty good. We have some positively Massive kids.

thats all for now folks

Not a bad review, however when Massillon played Elyria, the Tigers scored on their first play (with the 1st team offense) then put the 2nd and 3rd string in.

Massillon looked much better than everybody else there - I mean...it wasn't close. Elyria had some nice athletes but when they face like-kind they were a non-factor. I don't think they have a QB to lead them into the playoffs. That's my opinion.

I'm glad to hear the OL was doing well. I heard from a source that our guys did the best - so that's encouraging!

Elyria would be a good team to get on the schedule. The advantage to Elyria would be to kick up the competition to improve them and for Massillon it would be a competitive game and a good match up for the fans
