There is a great article about the Rose family in todays Inde. www.indeonline (http://www.indeonline), It brings prospective in everyday life. Chris is a true gift from God. May God Bless the Rose family for raising two fine son's and to the Massillon Tiger team and coach's for accepting Chris with opened arms. He is truly and inspiration that we all should take lessons from him. I watch him on the sidelines every week and he does work very hard and I would love to hear what he has to say to some of those players because after his little talks with them they pat him on the back and it seems that their spirit has also been lifted.

Truly a great article in The Inde by Chris Easterling. I hope everyone reads the article, and shares it with their kids.

What a wonderfull story! It brought tears to my eyes and great respect for both Matt and Chris and their whole family. So many people,in the world, have such an uphill battle their whole lifes and so many of us forget how lucky we actually are.Just to be alive and have your health and family with you makes you a truely RICH person.I am a stage 3 cancer survivor and have been a single parent the last 4 years but my health is good now and my family and friends are all the riches I will ever need to make me happy.Your family and the effect you have on peoples lives you touch are the real legacy of wealth you leave behind!
God Bless the Rose family!!!!!!!!

A great story! I seem to remember that Chris' surgery was during the latter part of the '92 season and the Tigers rallied behind the Rose family and dedicated the last few games of the season to them- including a resounding 38-0 thumping of Bloomington (Ind.) South, who came into the game undefeated against the 3-4 Tigers and went on (I think) to the Indiana state title game!
I'm glad they are on the Tigers again! ALL children are a gift from God and can teach us so much!!

What an inspiring article on the real priorities of life. I can't speak for others, but I needed this at this point in time. Thanks Jack, Chris, and Matt for sharing.

I too found myself tearing up immediately as I read the headlines as I was standing in line at the drugstore today. Beautiful piece, beautiful family, and wonderful photographs.
I think that all of the previous posts show that there are now two things we can all agree on; the love of our TIGERS and the message that this article teaches us:sunny:

It truely was a WONDERFUL article.. Chris truely is a remarkable young man who has fought through a lot of obstacles in his life. Matt and Chris are both fine young men. I am studying special education.. and it makes me feel good to know that these boys have accepted Chris as one of their own brothers and they have shared their lives with him. Chris is such an inspiration not only to Matt, but to the other boys on the team as well.Matt really is lucky to have someone like Chris in his life, and I'm sure he knows that. And I know that Chris is his biggest fan. I ALWAYS watch Chris when he is down on the sidelines, and no matter what the scoreboard says, he stays positive and fights to the very end. He's always there to pat the players on the back and is quick to give them a drink when they are thirsty. If there's one thing I can count on, I know it's seeing Chris down there on the sidelines. I guess it's safe to say that Chris truely has earned his tiger stripes along with his brother Matt. I hope life takes you two on even more remarkable journeys.. your lives will take you many places!..
Thank you Matt, Chris and Mr. Rose for sharing your story with us- it was such a GREAT article..

I wonder if we as fans could do some kind of special cheer, this week at the Mentor game, just for Chris.Do you think he would like that?Just something to let him see how many of us appreciate him.

I am acquainted with Chris; I think he would get a little embarrassed with something like that (IMO).

That was one of the most inspiring articles I’ve ever read. It just demonstrates that people with specials needs can do so much and be a blessing to others in ways that other people cannot.
We know that playing football is a learning experience, but what even greater lessons our Tiger players have learned from knowing Chris and accepting him as one of the team.
Jack Rose has done a wonderful job as a father raising both of his sons. God is blessing him, Matt and Chris in many, many ways.
Thank you Rose family for showing us what is important and what life is truly all about. Your cup surely runneth over.

I loved the article on the Rose Family. It was very inspiring. I get a kick out of watching him during the games. He really takes his duties seriously. He also seems to know what is going on during the game also. I'm sure he looks up to Matt for everything and Matt reponds!
