Beating Mentor isn't an easy task for anybody, but that's why they play the game. Mooney had some success against them on the ground, so I'd imagine that you guys would try to get Turner involved early and often. That alone won't be enough to take down the Cardinals, but I'm sure that you guys will be prepared.

False. I would say there are some scenerios that get us in with one more win.I think he is just trying to say lets just look at it like we need to win both.1 more and we are in no matter what both mentor and mckinley are loaded with point's.

They beat Mooney, Solon, Moeller, Euclid, Shaker Heights, and Maple Heights.

They lost to Strongsville and Iggy.

They have played much better since the QB switch about 4 weeks ago, kid is about 6-4 and pretty a good athlete both his older brothers were stars on the Mentor teams last couple years. They still pass well, but have a couple really good RB's, so they run maybe a little more than usual.. Defense is a little better than last years team

They teams we beat should pick us up some more points too.


Buchtel plays 0-8 firestone then garfield we will probably get one win out of that but the loss is to another team we beat.

Normandy plays 6-2 twinsburg and 4-4 north royalton either one or two wins

Garfield plays 2-6 Kenmore and Buchtel I expect two more wins out of them.

Who knows about Brantford

Warren plays Youngstown East who they should beat and a game against Walsh at home I expect atleast one maybe two wins.

Unless all the teams we beat win out we should get in with one win in the next two games.

I worry about losing one out of two and Garfield jumping over us with two wins. Basically beat McK get some help and were in. A win over Mentor puts us in no matter what

We need to win both games. Winning both will get us in for sure but winning one is not for sure.

Tigers, don't think about the playoffs. Don't think about beating McK. yet. The mission at hand is to maul Mentor. The mission at hand is to crush the Cardinals. Now you have played against the spread O and you know what it takes to stop it. So go out there and stick it to them. Bring home a victory. :gotigers:

Please let them implement a Nickle or Dime scheme this week!! With the athletes we have, we should be able to leave Leno/Arelt in the middle and use Price as a rover/nickle back and bring in Clark as another DB. A lot of speed to stay with WR's and to rush with. Pressure the QB with athletes on athletes and I think we'll be more then ok on the Defensive side of the ball. O should be the same as last week!! Beat Mentor!!!

Mentor has given up 20 or more points in 6 out of 8 games.
This could be another shoot out like last year.

Hall did say after the Jordan game that he thought we needed a better defensive scheme against spread teams. We shall see what they have come up with on Friday.

This game is very big for the Tigers and they will have to be focused and don,t make dumb penalties and don,t make turnovers if they are going to win. This is a road game and a chance to make it three wins in a row and controling our destination in the playoffs and great momentum going into the McKinley game. All the hard work in the weight room and on the practice field that the team has put in is resting on this game.As coach Hall has said,you must play like a team on every down and for four quarters. This is the path to victory and the Tiger fans must let our team know we are cheering them on to victory by being very loud ! GO TIGERS BEAT MENTOR
