Keep in mind that half of the original members of Foghat are dead (Dave Peverett and Rod Price; vocalist and guitarist, respectively), only John Kay (vocalist) remains from the original Steppenwolf, and that Kerry Livgren (main writer/guitarist), Dave Hope (bass player), and Robbie Steinhardt (violin) are no longer in Kansas.

The last time I saw one of these revamped incarnations of Steppenwolf they stunk, and the last time I saw Kansas, Steve Walsh's voice was almost shot. Nonetheless, Rich Williams and Phil Ehert remain excellent players, and they've got some great material. I can't imagine that Foghat's worth seeing without the two main guys.

I have no idea who's in War these days, but they have the potential to be an excellent show. They were an extremely underrated band.
