October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Friday, October 17 is National Mammography Day.

Please pray for those who are affected -- victims, family, caregivers, etc. Also… SUPPORT THE RACE FOR THE CURE with your prayers, gifts and time.

And, very important, encourage those you love to get those mammograms.

On October 7 the White House was lit with pink floodlights is support of this very important cause that affects so many. It was a beautiful sight.

OMG. The Susan G. Komen Foundation is a WONDERFUL organization that has helped millions of people. And there is a ton of information that disputes that there is even a link between breast cancer and birth control.

Let's keep this a postive thread and not tear down an org that helps so many

TigerVic,

Why is it that you have to interject YOUR feelings and OPINIONS on certain issues when they are not wanted or needed?

A thread was started to remind people that the month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the 17th is National Mammography Day...(BTW...Thanks TigerLily... ) The talk about birth control and planned parenthood have NOTHING to do with reminding people and women to get out there and get a Mammogram and donate to any organization they want to , (if they can) to help find a cure for this cancer that each year 215,000 women will be diagnosed with , and over 40,000 women will die from this year alone.

So, TigerVic.....save us your morality speech, and remind the women in your life to get a mammogram if they haven't already this year. They do save lives!!

I'm aware of breasts around me every day, not just in October. LOL!

Just kidding, I know this is a serious issue. As a matter of fact, my wife gets her annual mammogram next week. Many lives have been affected by this terrible disease.
