NEW YORK (Oct. 5) - It's starting to feel like Tina Fey is running for vice president.
Fey again returned to "Saturday Night Live" to play Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin as the sketch comedy show continued to pull out all the stops in its election year season. Queen Latifah dropped by to portray Thursday's debate moderator, PBS's Gwen Ifill, and cast member Jason Sudeikis stepped into the role of Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden.

This was too funny. Not only is SNL poking fun at Palin, they are inherently poking fun at anyone who believes that Palin really has the capacity to be VP. It's really quite sad. :bs:

Sorry, you're wrong again. It's because NBC is soooooooooooooooo in the tank for Obama.

Really? I had no idea! I always looked to NBC and friends as completely unbiased!

Unbelievable how journalism increasingly is more about selling papers or gathering ratings than about telling the truth. So many "news" articles/features that are really opinion pieces in thin disguise.

Just keep jumping on the Obamamania express. It goes down a very wide road.

Nope. You are the one who is wrong. SNL doesn't even have to be creative in mocking Palin. They bascially have Fey repeat (almost verbatim) what Palin had actually said. Now if that isn't sad and telling, I don't know what is. Again, I repeat, what's also sad is the fact that there are people like you who actually think this lady has the capacity to be VP and possibly the president of the USA. Talk about the dumbing down of America.

Politics aside, I thought it was very funny!

I wouldn't fret as to the fairness or unfairness of it ... remember how they made fun of Hillary when they lampooned the democrats' debates? I think it actually helped her a little.

I thought the skit was pretty funny also. Tina Fay does a great impression of our next Vice President. What's really funny is how the media has gotten so biased towards Obama that they give the impression that he will easily win election.

As Dawgh8r said a while back, what people say and what they do behind the curtain are two different things. I can't wait for the day after election day!

exactly. they've also made fun of obama as well. i can remember one skit where obama kept calling hillary at night asking her for advice on what to do....or something along those lines.

They have been making fun of Bill Clinton for years too. Dubya of course, is a comic gold mine. Obama, like McCain, are a little harder to be funny. Palin is another goldmine though. The accent, the dipsyness.

Biden: "It appears we agree on civil unions, I think that is great."

"Well governer, is that true, you do agree?

"Well, I believe you had asked me a question, and since my answer to that question is the same as that of his, therefore I believe that yes."

Laughter.

You dont even have to make it up. True comedy writes itself. :D

I laughed when Tina (as Gov. Palin) described marriage as a sacred union between two unwilling teenagers ...
