I know many of you will jump on me for saying this but I have to say it anyway.
I graduated from Jackson and live in Jackson, BUT who cares what their score was? I know some of you do. Why?

Because its nice to show good spotsmanship and respect for other area programs. Doesn't mean we love our Tigers any less. No Offence.

I will also have to agree with MTigers006 on what he said and I also would like to add, that some of us have nieces and nephews going to area schools and they do participate in sports, band etc... I am surrounded by family members going to all area schools around Massillon. To earn respect from the other communities, we also have to give respect.

Thom McDaniels, the heart and soul of the Jackson Polar Bears will definitely have his legion of Polar Bears ready for Lake (who lost to GlenOak 28-14)...Lake defeated Jackson 49-19 last year...should be an interesting game for as long as it lasts.

This is what we do in Massillon...show respect!! Then when it is time to return the favor...everyone else...DOESN'T. Who cares what other people do or think? We are respecful and polite and everyone else talks about us like we are dogs.
Massillon fans are some of the best and most caring out there. But the envy of other programs, and the quips of a few, make us the target of many.
You don't have to like us...but respect where we came from!! Sorry you can't be there.

Your statement is untrue. There are a LOT of people from other communities who have a lot of admiration and respect for the Massillon Tigers- myself included. A lot of my family members live in Jackson, but grew up in Massillon and all of them are huge Tiger fans, and still go to games when they can.
Stating that "EVERYONE" doesn't return the favor towards Massillon when it comes to being respectful is a blanket statement, and you really can't say that every single community in Stark County and every single school district in Stark County disrespects Massillon. I know plenty of high school football fans from areas surrounding Massillon who love watching Tiger games and who speak very highly of Massillon when the topic of high school football comes up.
And you're whole thing that football fans from other areas dislike Massillon because they're envious of Massillon's program is also untrue. I have a lot of respect for Massillon's program, and all that they have accomplished over the years, but I'm not envious of it. I know that Massillon has been an overall much better program than Jackson's program has, but I don't feel jealous or anything like that. I don't get that riled up over high school athletics that I feel jealous of anyone's program. I just really enjoy going to games and supporting the kids who play.
You really shouldn't make blanket type statements like that next time other area programs are mentioned. Be happy that Massillon has such a great program and support them and be grateful for all of the great things your program has (a huge stadium, indoor training facility, etc.), and stop acting like you have a chip on your shoulder in regards to what others think about Massillon. Just have some class and act as though you don't care what everyone else's opinions are. That bothers people more than getting all upset over things. ;)

PurpleArmy,
I wouldn't hold that toward one school. Many schools in Stark County are blessed to have the most cordial of fans. Don't let the negatives of a set drown out the true nature of a fan base.
