Since I have been to my first Tigers game, 1999, I have been wondering where the school gets all of their baby Obie's from year to year. And do they donate them to the same zoo after the season is over. I think they are so cute. And I enjoy going to the games and seeing Obie.

Doesn't the local Stump Farm supply them?

I remember reading that.

I believe they do come from Stump Hill and go back there after the season is over. Full grown they can be about 200 pounds, that is why we get a cub every year.

I have also heard they come from Stump Hill but I can tell you that it takes over 2 years to become full grown and it will be about 300 before its first birthday. Obies can be close to 100 by the McK game.
