Pretty sad when you have to RALLY to beat OHIO UNIVERSITY !!

I wouldnt call it a "rally". Most we were down was 8, won by 12.

Classic case of looking ahead.

Ohio State will take some lumps this year, overanked and underdeveloped. 4 loses if they stay healthy or use Pryer.

Maybe it was a case of being too vanilla for the USC scouts.

WHAT?!? Are you freaking kidding me? Underdeveloped? The majority of the starters from last year returned. This is probably one of the most expirienced teams in all of college football. 4 'loses' is completely ludicrous.

Come on folks, I would bet the barn that ole londontown is NOT a Buckeye fan. As far as yesterdays dismal performance, I agree with most, as it seemed to be a combination of looking ahead, adjusting to a game without Wells and having a good ole fashioned brain fart game.. We'll see how good OSU REALLY is next Saturday.

GO BUCKS !!!

Yeah, you're right of course. They have consistently lost four games a year with 18 starters back. Or five. :doh2:

What a piece of work.

Very sloppy game on both sides of the ball for tOSU. Taking the 'looking ahead' arguement into consideration... I am still worried.

Tressel is a great coach. But, I do wonder about his schemes. OSU has so much talent, athletism and speed... I do not get why those athletes aren't put on the perimeter more often to get them in space.

Because when OSU plays teams that have more talent, more athleticism and more speed, there is no "perimeter"! And that'll be the case when they face USC's defense.
On the other side of the ball it will be OSU that doesn't match up with USC.
Beanie or no Beanie this game comes down to overall talent on the field and USC has a decided edge on paper. Fortunately this games played on grass and we'll see if OSU can play the perfect game and pull the upset.

Might be the most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard on this forum. Keep in mind that Keno is a regular.

Bottom line you gotta win, and not get upset like other pretenders. Look around - alot easier said than done.

Tough to win on the road @ USC, and I do think we need a healthy Wells, but there will be some electricity Saturday for sure. Should be fun.

Even tho I'm a huge Buckeye fan I have to admit I don't have a good feeling about this upcoming game. It's a mystery to me but with all the speed O.S.U. has they still looked like they had trouble with the speed the Bobcats had!

I would like to say that they were just looking past O.U. but I can't convince myself of that. I don't see a spiritual leader on this team. Beanie might be it but there is none on defense. The most concerning thing is that I have very little faith in Heacock the D-coordinator. Since Dantonio left the defense has given up way too many points in big games. They don't attack with blitzes like Dantonio did. If your going to let them dink and dunk you down the field you might as well knock the QB down a few times and try to disrupt.

I don't see the Buckeyes scoring more than 2 TD's on the Trojans. If it looks like we can't slow their offense down they'll have to get aggressive on Defense and take some gambles to make some turnovers and create momentum and scoring opportunities for this pedestrian offense. I'd like to see them play a lot of press coverage and jam their WR's at the line with the safeties over top of them. This might be U.S.C.' only weakness on offense. They look young at WR. Lets put our best pass rushers together on the same side (Haywood, Gibson) and go get Sanchez! Go Bucks!

Sanchez will have the game of his life, I can say that after what he did to Virginia.

If Hazeleton is healthy, he and Turner will give OSU fits in the Passing game. Hazelton is a 6'3 210 WR that's may look "young" on paper, but he's a stud. Turner is 6'5 220 and very athletic. Both were top recievers coming out of HS and have waited their turns for the spotlight. I don't think OSU will attempt to "jam" them at the line because of their size, speed and athleticism. In my opinion, both will have great NFL careers if healthy. The only way OSU slows down the USC passing game is if the get to Sanchez on a regular basis. If that happens USC will run draws and screens to some very talented RB's to slow them down.
I'm hoping for a last drive victory in a classic battle!

You will see REAL speed Saturday. I really don't think this game is going to be that close. One good thing. At least we won't be waiting until January in the BCS Title Game to see an OSU loss. I'm TIRED of that!!

I was at that game, and it was closer than I wanted to be. I hope that they play better against USC
