Now that everybody has had a chance to vent and blow off some steam about our loss last Saturday, we should be looking at things from a different perspective.
We should be thinking about how much our football team has improved from the first scrimmage against Perry to now. I know that I left that first scrimmage thinking that we had ALOT of work ahead of us and really not knowing just how good we were going to be.
After the ill fated Reynoldsburg scrimmage, I was TERRIBLY concerned, mainly about our ability to run the football. Running the ball for -20 yards against what I considered a below average football team, did not make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I admit it, I was deeply concerned.
Now, after two games, I am THOROUGHLY impressed and excited about our football team. The progress they have made is remarkable to me. It is obvious to me that the coaching staff and players have been working their tails off and it is showing. I think that is what we should be focusing on and not a loss that we can do nothing about.
This team and this staff need and have earned our admiration and support!!
Just a side note, I for one am VERY HAPPY that coach Hall is here and leading our program!! After just two games, I have actually noticed some changes that he has made during each game that have really made a difference, changes that I did not see the last 2-3 years.
Great job coach Hall and staff!!

GREAT POST. I agree. We lost a true heartbreaker and those are never fun but we showed heart. Though next week will be the true test of that. (And man those linemen were HUGE, and physical).
As we, and you Benchboss, have said over the previous year or 2, its not just about w's & l's. I saw some lapses but I also saw a guy who wont accept anything less than 100% effort and execution, and generally coaching his *** off, and players beginning to respond. Good things will come if we are patient.

Our coach Hall has done a fanstatic job with this team as you see great improvement in the last two weeks and the number of players that are getting in the game and developing depth. They are also playing hard nose tiger football with big hits as they were knocking helmets off the Utah team. Hall was at the J.V. game today and boy was he involved as he is constantly teaching and addressing the little things that will pay huge dividens down the road. He will get in your face if he has to and then slap you on the helmet as he tries to make you a better player. We have hired a great young coach and now we must treat him with dignity and give him the tools to completely develop our program ! We cannot let this opportunity slip away as this man could be here for years and this program will be developed from the bottom up and the results will be GREAT ! For all the great tiger supporters it is very important that we stand up and don.t let anyone keep this coach from reaching his potental. If we let him do his job his way then there are going to great things in the future. GO TIGERS MASSILLON ALWAYS

After a few weeks in solitary confinement, let me say this about the team. The progress they have made is outstanding. The effort during the games have been outstanding. I expect GREAT things from Coach Hall and the Tigers.

I AGREE !! :iagree:
It's GREAT to have a coach that realizes our shortcomings, and then developes a plan to fix them !!:TIG2:

I have to agree. I have been away with the family the last couple of days, and just watched the game last night. Needless to say, I had to allow it to sink in and not just post out of anger. Our kids have shown great improvement all around. Kudos to the O-line on their improvement, as all we usually read is how bad they are doing. I like Coach Hall telling the kids that sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way. That's life, get used to it. I am anxious to see these guys do Friday night. Great teams do great things and overcome adversity when it stares them in the face. Last week is your adversity 2008 Tigers, what are you going to do to overcome it??? Play Massillon Football is what you should do!! Massillon players work harder, want it more, and do more with what God has given them then any other kids out there. Good luck the rest of the way!!!

All the way from Idaho I see 4 things:
This team can run.
There's a passing threat.
The "D" will hit & is improving.
Attitude & discipline have improved.
All makes me a very proud Tiger alumnus.

I agree Benchboss1 as we are seeing something special going on with the Tigers. I don,t know what our record will be this year but the change that is going on with the Tigers is because of the attitude and evaluation of coach Hall. In a short time he is getting the Tigers hitting like old Tiger teams and he is teaching multiformations and making us a better team. Lots of personel getting into the games and giving us depth and creating good competition and that makes the team better. He took a defensive player in Matt Paterson and changed him to fullback and Matt is doing a outstanding job of blocking and making the team better. Also having kids learn both sides of the ball and seeing some playing both ways. In the past,we were told that this would happen, but it didn,t. This all takes more time to teach and coach but it will make the Tigers a much better team. If you have seen the difference that has been taken place then you should be on this posts and telling everyone and getting very excited about the future of the Massillon Tigers. We been waiting for a good coach who developes the whole program and could be here for a long time. This man does not like to lose and he is getting our Tigers to adopt his attitude and I am excited about our future but disappointed by fans who love the Tigers but seem to be blind to what his going on. I would appreciate comments about this subject. GO TIGERS BEAT NORMANDY
