OK, since we all seem to be venting about something.... And I'm not looking for people to agree or disagree, although feel free to.
I really don't like the way Iggy comes out after halftime and starts warming up on the field (punting, kicking, throwing etc.) while our swing band still has about 5 minutes to play. They did the same thing last year, they are out there on about the 20 yard line just doing their thing like we weren't even out there...I dunno, maybe it shouldn't bother me, I don't know anyone in the band but I know the time those kids put into it and they deserve to be center stage for 10 minutes I would think especially at their own stadium.. I know it has nothing to do with Iggy coming out on top last night, they made plays when they had to, just irritates me.OK, I'm done

Maybe we should've been out there 5 minutes earlier? The band is 2nd to the teams, and if they need that extra time to warm-up, and then they come out and kick out butts, more power to em.

The reason that some teams come out early is that some coaches like their players to get the feel of the ball and work their speciallties on kicking and not take the field cold. They were getting the ball first and they would be warmed and ready. If you just to warm ups with no ball and take the field then you don,t have that feel and you start cold. Which way do you think is best ? GO TIGERS BEAT BUCHTEL

So if they were getting the ball first, then why were the players warming up punting and kicking? Last year when they did this one of their punts went into our band. Or if this is an accepted practice, why don't we warm up while our band is still marching? Maybe Steve can shoot one into the opposing teams tuba, they could make it like a competition, maybe get a sticker on the helmet for it.
Most of the games I have seen they give both teams like 2 or 3 minutes to warm up and stretch after the band is gone, of course when you have a storied program like St Iggy I guess you can do these sort of things.

I do not recall Ignatius doing the halftime thing last year, so I will not comment on that. Last night however, part of the problem may have been that WE stopped the clock at the 7:00 mark for a few minutes.

The only reason I noticed it last year was because the people I was with had never seen the swing band and that's the reason they went and it was pointed out to me. I wasn't aware that we stopped the clock, I guess if we did then I suppose they weren't at fault and I'm sure they weren't doing it to be idiots I just can't see Kyle doing stuff like that... On a positive note.. wasn't that drum major fun to watch?

I swear I do not mean to piss people off with this, but you CAN'T blame them for that....they came there to win a football game, not watch a band show. There is no rule that you have to stay in the locker room. If that is how thye warm up, that's how they warm up. I am concerned over far bigger things.

If Massillon had won, no one would be commenting on the Iggy warmup.

Yeah maybe we should skip the half time show altogether and work on special teams or something??! or perhaps some passing drills.
Speaking of special teams; Do we have a coach that is supposed to coach in that area or what??? I think someone forgot to inform Stacy that that guy hasnt been showing up to work lately.
