Last night, as the Swing Band was playing, I was singing bits and pieces of the lyrics that go with most of the songs played in the opening routine. My wife, who is not from here, heard me and asked, "There are words to these songs??????" I said yes but I do not remember most of them. I do recall the old programs used to have the lyrics printed in them but did not see them last night. Can anyone post the lyrics for "Massillon will Shine" and the others, here? This is another one of those old time traditions which, if not renewed, will disappear.

... i am not completely sure.. but these are the lyrics i was taught..

.. That's is the version i was taught, now I believe some people replace 'Massillon' with "Our Boys"

Yes that's a great song. I asked an elderly couple several years ago what the name of the song was and the wife said, "Our boys will shine tonight."

If they don't, your band should play it every game.
