Glenville kicked a field goal?? Unbelievable!

If you are a Tiger fan, why would you want Ignats to get beat? You get less points if you beat them and it takes luster off the game.

interesting as Iggy thought this was their best team ever.

I don't know who told you that, but they must have missed the late 80s and most of the 90s.

Glenville was the better team and deserved to win.

Right on. You want your opponents to win. Not only that, but when teams like Iggy lose games like this,it gives them more fire in their ass when they play us,like they've got something to prove. Interesting though, how Glenville's been a thorn in their side for a while now.

Not to contradict myself, but I enjoyed watching Solon take out McKinley last evening. I like to see McK win enough games to give us points, but lose enough to keep them out of the playoffs.

I was listening to HBC last night and those announcers were just sickening. The blocked field goal at the end, where they called roughing, they went nuts. they acted like that call blew the game for the Dawgs. That call did not lose the game for them. They still would've needed to go about 80 yards to score, which is 5 more than they totaled the whole game. What made me sick was they interviewed Ron Johnson and he was crying the blues about the officiating and how they took the game away from his team and the announcers were saying that they earned new respect for him for him coming on and complaining about the refs. In reality, if McK's offense could've mustered anything or if McK's D could stopped them a few times on 3rd down, that call would not have mattered. Their lack of offense lost them the game, not the refs.

That's a hoot! Funny how they always harp about us bitching about the officiating if we lose one. They need to look at themselves in a mirror. I thought the officiating was adequate. From what I understand, they were flagged on that kick basically for hitting the holder. It doesn't matter if the ball is blocked, tipped or whatever;if the holder is hit it will draw a penalty. The friend that I was at that game with is an official;he told me that rule.

I bet you all the blacks in Cleveland will be beaming over this win over St. Ignatius! Beating the almighty St. Ignatius Wildcats under adverse conditions...Glenville defined what it meant to thrive when the storm was at it's highest!

whoa, wait.

mck put up a total of seventy-five freakin' yards of offense for four quarters of football...and their coach had the audacity to go on the air and say it was the refs that robbed his team of a win?

you're right pyro, that is absolutely sickening.

i'd be embarrassed to be a bulldogs fan after a public display like that.

Because Keno is not who he appears to be. He's actually a plant on MP.com set up by Reverend Jackson, Al Sharpton and Kwame Kilpatrick to make sure that racial tensions remain always high and that we NEVER all get along. You guys can buy his Mr. Nice Guy schtick all you want but I'm telling you I've seen through this young man for YEARS and I believe it's about time we called it for what it was. I am tempted to bring the MPD into this investigation and have 24 hour surveillance put on The Pittsburg Playboy.

Didn't Iggy lose like five games one year, including their first four, and get into the playoffs and win the whole thing?

They lost four one year and won the state championship. I wouldn't be too quick to write them off just yet.

It is interesting that Coach Kyle isn't quite the genius when he goes up against a team that has an even bigger recruiting base then his.

There is some merit to this statement. Ginn certainly outcoached Kyle on Saturday and I would not bet on Ignatius in a playoff rematch.

Ginn outcoached someone? Ginn must have been doing lots of homework the past few years, hired some great assistants, or both? Is Chico losing it? I thought that cat never got outcoached?

ChronicTiger,

Glenville is becoming the leading power in high school football in Cleveland.

Ginn's coaching has gotten better overall IMO.

I can't really say what's going on with Chico. He's forgotten more football than I will ever know, but he's lost 4 straight to Ginn and a remarkable 7 straight to St Xavier. (which is why there may be something to shooter's statement)

I will agree with you on this one Keno, but only partially. Glenville needs to win a state title.

The Tarblooders do have some great young players and some serious size and speed.

He certainly didn't outcoach Thom McD when he played WGH. He was running out the clock and passed the ball which was immediately intercepted by Mario Manningham and returned for a touchdown to win the game for Harding which looked like certain defeat for the Panth....er....Raiders.

Warren1st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

I vividly recall that! Glenville was going for the kill and then MCM (Mario Cashmere Manningham) saved the day for the black and gold!

I do have one problem with Glenville. When a game is tightening up late in the fourth quarter (except Ignatius of this year), they don't pull it out when it counts and I have seen this happen in three games in the Ginn era.

Thanks Carl, I thought I was right about that one. Although I had them losing five instead of four. You can't write them off. Glenville is a heck of a way to start a season off with also.

What was the final score??

In fact, I'd appreciate a list of final scores of all this season's Tiger opponents. Thanks.
