Tigers and Vikings went into overtime today, with a 20 - 13 victory for Massillon.
Boy was that a fun one!
Congrats JV TIGERS:rockin:
It was nice to see and meet a few of the MP regular posters today out their supporting our boys :)

I am reposting what I posted in response to someone's mention of the soph players in another thread, since it is pertinent here.
Jake had another very good game today! I love watching him play. Robey had 2 powerful qb sacks. Sheegog and Mattox, another great one to watch for, both had interceptions. Draper was a beast in there at noseguard. Littman great first game as JV qb. Busson, Nalbach, T. Miller, B. Robinson and McCune are just a few other sophs who do the Massillon Tigers, PROUD!

I would LOVE to see Big 'A' get some varsity time. However, HE controls when that happens.

It was fun for all of us to watch him play today, but I don't think anyone had as much fun as HE did! Well, maybe with the exception of Tig62, LOL!

If Draper is this beast on defense can someone tell me why he is not playing varsity, he was the biggest kid on the field friday and will be meny fridays to come and as a junior he could use the experience for next year. Can someone shed some light on this?

I would imagine that is between the player and his coaches.

Averill was injured most of the summer and did not get released to practice until the end of two-a-days. He'll play varsity soon.

Did Cody Reeves play? He is another big d-lineman. I was unable to attend the game but in the Perry scrimmage he stood out to me.

Then we can deduce that "BIG A" has some catching-up to do. IMHO he has all the tools to be an impact player at the right position.
P.S. I did have FUN watching him at the JV game, but probably not as much as he did playing in the game.

JJ littman had an amazing game just watching him turn a blown play into a touchdown to win the game in overtime. i would love to see hall juss throw him in once juss to see how he would do. he looked great under that pressure

Yes he did. And hopefully this game was a good tune up for the upcoming Mck game on Monday for all the guys. This year's Sophomores owe them from their Freshmen game last year:tig:

I would have thought that Partridge would have been the jv quarterback. Did both Partridge and Littman play qb against Hoover?

Hmmm... not to toot my own horn here, but.... i would like to reiterate something I said last April or may on here.
For the previous 2 years. Partridge has been the initial starter and has then proceeded to split more and more time if not entire games with Litman and when you break the numbers down... Litman has been more efficient through the air and lead more scoring drives but more important than any qb aspect is the the ability to lead a team... and there have been multiple times the past 2 years where litman has lead his troops to score and win.... Again I say... litman needs to get a look. If his ability to lead could translate onto the varsity field and offer the ability to free up clark somewhere else, even if it was only for random plays... Additionally Litman's speed (now a 4.7-4.8 when they tested in the summer) and strength have improved greatly, not to mention that if family genes play into anything.... Litmans dad is every bit of 6-6 or 6-7....
Heres to hoping that everyone who works hard gets the fair look they deserve!!

The question still has not been answered. Did Partridge play in the game? There are people who saw the game and they should know if Partridge played or not. Waiting for an answer - thanks. GO TIGERS

The answer is No, he did not play in the JV game, and I'm pretty sure he wasn't even there.
