We got the new forum back online. I think it will take some getting used to, but I really believe this forum will end up being a lot better...

Of course, 12 hours ago, I had no forum, so this one has been configured extremely quick, to get it back online. It still has the default look to it. but just wait. As I get to know the inner workings of the site, I'll get the colors right!

If you're having any issues with anything, please send me an email, or personal message explaining the problem in detail. I will do my best to help you get it right.

One more thing. This means we have a clean slate for all users. No one has any warnings. I would suggest people remember the past forum's rules follow them to a 'T'... I will be looking for the previous set of rules to post in a sticky.

I know the smilies are in disarray. but put a 'TIG2' and an 'ERS2' together and you will still get :TIG2: :ERS2:

Then I realized... a crashed website with lost forums...is that what our donations paid for!!!!!

About a year ago, our web host lost their server. They restored us to a new server. We lost nothing that time. One thing they failed to do was put the NEW MassillonProud database on their nightly backup plan. Talk about a ticking time-bomb.

Of course, it finally blew up. They lost the server again. Then they restored what they had. Around 2pm yesterday, the restore was complete. First thing I tried was to click the forum. BOOM, nothing...

I checked the control panel. then asked tech support, "Whassup?? where's me forum database?"

Their reply... "Sorry, it wasn't on the backup"...

So I promptly started researching new web hosts... Found a decent one, and moved my files ( the ones that were intact) , and then cancelled my account to the old web host.

So in a nutshell, server crash, webhost change, and purchased new forum.

I was like :ohno: for the last 24 hours...

I can't believe those yahoos hadn't backed up your database. I have to believe that there was something in your support agreement that would have required them to do this. And that there could be financial repercussions from this for this.

Anyway, thanks for the diligent work to get the site back up and running. I know I speak for everyone when we express our appreciation for your hard work.
